“Small room, but excellent service”
Room was a little cramped, but very well maintained. Service (especially at breakfast & at the front desk) was excellent; the breakfast itself was very good & offered a wide variety of bread, cheese, fruits, olives, etc., i.e. very tasty Turkish breakfast. View from the rooftop restaurant of Galata tower in new Istanbul, plus Tokapý Saray & Aya Sofya close to the hotel also a real treat.
“Nice hotel great location”
Rooms were comfortable, rooftop breakfast dining room was very nice.
“Recommended”
We spent 5 nights here in November and overall found it excellent. Well located for all the historical sites around Sultanahmet and 100 metres from the metro tram stop for easy access to other areas of the city, such as Taksim. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, buffet breakfast excellent, rooftop courtyard too. Room was well maintained and comfortable if a little small and overheated by Aus standards. Free wireless internet for my laptop. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend Yasmak. It contributed to the great time to be had in Istanbul.
“the most helpful hotel's team ever..will definitely go back with my family .”
comfortable rooms, the location is just perfect, walking distance from 90%of the main places to visit,palaces,mosques...we're very delighted with the reception team's service, room service....recommended.
“Well worth four starts”
This hotel had the most comfortable beds I have ever encountered, an excellent spread at breakfast and was otherwise most satisfactory. It is only five minutes'walk from Hagia Sophia.
“Great hotel”
Great hotel, fantastic location, very helpful staff, good food, nice rooms, intresting hamman experience, don't hesitate to stay here
“Impressed by the friendliness Of Hotel Staff”
The staff were so kind and welcoming....Orpham and Aslem were superb. Husenyin kept us entertained in the restaurant. The rooms were decent and clean. Sad the Jacuzzi was not working. The Gym is small with single equipment like treadmill/cross trainer. Breakfast was good including several veg options. The Restaurant was quite good as well and it had a decent spread of veg food, which s something we struggled with throughout.
“Perfectly situated hotel in Istanbul”
I stayed eight days at the Yasmak Sultan in September 2008. The hotel is perfectly situated in the old part of Istanbul. The Haggia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, etc are less than ten minutes walk from the hotel. The Grand Bazaar is an easy twenty minute walk. Additionally, the tram which goes to all of these locations has a location one-half block away. In the other direction, the waterfront and ferry terminals is only a fifteen minute walk in the other direction. The hotel service was excellent. The restaurant was very good, with a good free breakfast buffet. (Although arrive early because the hot food cools quickly.) My only problem with the hotel all week was due to construction. An addition is being built right next door and the construction had reached to just under my window. During the day, the constuction ended at around 6:00 p.m. However, on Saturday night, it didn't end until 1:00 a.m. Beyond that one complaint, I had an excellent stay at the Yasmak Sultan.
“Strategic location!”
We were very pleased with the recent stay at Yasmak Sultan. The hotel staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast at the roof top was a delight. The hotel is positioned within walking distance from the major tourist attractions and 20 min drive from the airport - great location!
“Istanbul's Old City Charm”
The hotel was extremely nice. It was clean and the staff was exceedingly helpful. The rooms were clean and cozy. The hotel restaurant was a little pricey for the dishes offered, but it did provide an excellent view of the Ayasofia. It was close to the major tourist attractions in the city. All the sites in the old city were within a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. The fitness center was small but good for a quick workout if someone has the time. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. I recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a little old city charm.
