I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The room was great and very clean. The location was great, just around the corner from the main roundabout. The breakfast in the morning was wonderful. But by far the best part was the staff. They were all so lovely and accommodating. They helped me book activities and recommended places to see. Highly recommend! I would absolutely stay here again. Just a note that there isn't an elevator, but there are rooms on the ground floor. My room was on the top floor, and the staff carried my bags up and down for me. Again, impeccable service!

Customer service was lacking. No ice when asked because the restaurant was closed, at 9pm. Asked for 2 water bottles and was asked to pay $1.50 per bottle. They're only $0.25 at the store down the street. No sink in toilet room. No hair conditioner. Had to ask for shampoo. Can see neighboring homes' toilets from the balcony. Not a pleasant view.

Very friendly and helpful staff
Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast, spacious and well-maintained rooms. It's near the Durian Roundabout, so it's easy to get to from a bus, and not a long walk to the river or into the tourist area, but some people may prefer to be closer to the restaurants and bars. The bed was not a great bed, but I've had worse.

Friendly staff.
Great staff, very friendly and helpful. Pool small but a welcome dip after a long day cycling. No lift so just take into account that you might need to climb stairs with heavy luggage if you have mobility issues. We were on the third floor. Only downside was that the drains often smelt. We came back to our room to quite strong smells and again in the night. But this is Cambodia. Our room had a glass shower door for the toilet door - fine for us as we’ve been married 12 years but if you are on a romantic trip or sharing with someone you don’t know you might want to take this into account!! About 15 min walk into town or short tuk tuk ride for $2.

Nice place in a central location
The service and position is excellent. The swimming pool is completely shaded and quite cold for that time of year. We saw several rats around the pool but the cleaners seem to treat them like pets. Thankful we didn't see any in our room . The room was nicely air conditioned and quite clean. A nice place overall

We did not ignore your comment to us regarding the case but we did try all the best find it out but we could not. In addition to this, we did ask you to clarify where on the booking reference to express with elevator but your the answer was not clear. We try to manage room 1st for you but you need elevator. I think you should read condition as policy hotel, amenities before make dicision reservation to avoid confusing between consumer and hotel. Of course, we willing to settle it out for every our value guest unless you could give us clear clue so that will take action: 1- One of all our staff who may concern in order to check be careful with smell in the room but it just smell from lemon grass oil and not room smells like sewage that you said. 2- Pool is altlle bit small for you but it is lovely that can relax others guests during stayed. 3 - For amount, as I talked with you, I am happy to return if you didn't stay with us but our teamwork is work hard to find other hotel to accommodation. We are ask to expressing to stay again if you are unhappy stay but you were agree to stay with us so amount must be charge for stay. However, we are not really happy to learn that the case happened and we would like to apologize for the inconvenience caused you. Stayed two nights. The room was adequate in size and cleanliness. It was on the upper floor, four flights of stairs, no elevator. This was ok for us but be aware. Staff would have happily carried our luggage if we had large bags. The included breakfast was quite good except for the coffee which was undrinkable. Location was quiet and away from the Main Street on the river. It was walkable or easily reached by tuk tuk. The staff was helpful with tuk tuks but suggested we download an app to use which turned out to be helpful for the rest of our time in Cambodia. My only negative was that our room had sliding glass doors that went out to a balcony that other guests used as a smoking area. We had to keep the drapes closed all the time for privacy. Luckily there were not many people using this area. We could have requested a room change and it would have solved the problem. Overall it was a pretty good stay. There are limited options in Kampot which makes this a good choice if you are ok with stairs and the distance to the town.

There was no smell of humidity in the room and they had these oil burners which gave very good smell in the room and in the toilet as well they had some sort of scented gel I think this was very thoughtful of them are the swimming pool was small but it could’ve been cleaner but I don’t have any complaints for the breakfast you had to order your breakfast which is quite common in Cambodia and you had variety of choices such as Asian western American breakfast .

Bauhaus in Kampot.
The hotel is brand new and beautiful in Frank Lloyd-Wright, Bauhaus way. The staff were attentive and professional and the location quiet but central, away from the Flashpackers a d the crusties. The breakfast was a choice from a menu with Asian and ‘American’ versions. The ‘American ‘ breakfast was the usual failed attempt at a proper English breakfast, but acceptable. The alleged bacon was a deep fried pig shaving - just not bacon at all - but the eggs served in any way you wish were excellent. The bedroom was a modern, grey themed space which was comfortable and airy. My room lacked a window, but was light and bright despite that. The en-suite bathroom was a joy and contained an iron and ironing board! I would have given this a five star rating but for one thing. On my first night there, a tropical rainstorm broke, which is no surprise in Cambodia during the rainy season. What was a surprise was the way that most of that storm came through a light fitting above my bed and nearly soaked my ‘phone, tablet and chargers. (I know!) I wasn’t given an alternative room but was moved to the other single bed. That wasn’t really a problem. I coped! The issue certainly wasn’t with the hotel staff, they were admirable. However, this hotel is in Cambodia, one third of the year is rainy season, so it should be built to withstand the rain! Despite that- and the breakfast - I would thoroughly recommend this hotel!

Enjoyed our stay at Hotel Five.S. The staff were helpful in arranging scooter hire and onward travel arrangements. The room was modern and spacious. The outside bath is a bit of an odd addition, especially as when we were staying there were lots of small flies on the balcony and so wouldn't have been a very relaxing bath. The pool area is nice, but only 3 sunbeds is a bit annoying, so we never got to lie by the pool as they're quickly taken. Few minutes walk into town. Good breakfast with many options.

Great hotel. Friendly staff
We really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is clean and the rooms are very luxurious (especially the bathroom with its outdoor style shower and jungle theme). Staff go out of their way to assist you with everything you need. The pool area is a bit on the small side but this is a hotel close to the town centre so you would expect this. We would recommend this as a great place to stay.

Nice boutique hotel
Hotel was modern, nice and clean and not too far from bars, restaurants and river - about 10-15 min walk or only a couple of mins by tuk tuk. We had a ground floor room at the rear of hotel and it was very noisy. Noise from the street behind and what may have been building works in a room behind - jack hammers, drills etc. Very loud speaker & music from 6am one morning.

Primarily for the noise issue that you experienced. This noise, which is related to traditional Cambodian culture, is something that we have no direct control over and is definitely not always easy to have abated. We are indeed sorry that you were annoyed by this aspect of your otherwise perfect stay. Cambodian traditional custom is to celebrate life events such as death, the end of life or wedding, death and the 7 or 100-day acknowledgment of a relative passing. These events are typically celebrated by conducting or staging festivities that may consist of loud music, monk chanting and rowdy feasting with friends and relatives. Events can last between one to three days, often commencing early in the morning and extending continuously through until late at night. Such customs are practiced all over Cambodia, not just in Kampot but in villages, towns, and provinces right across the kingdom. The unfortunate aspect of your time spent with us here at Hotel Five.S was that an ending o life celebration was being held on our doorstep, not far from the resort. What I would like to kindly point out to our readers of this webpage is that in over plus valued guest reviews on our Expedia webpage, there have been very few mentions of noise disturbance. We have certainly had other instances since we opened in September 2017 where neighbors have celebrated traditional Cambodian life. If we have an opportunity again to welcome you. Great Stay in Kampot
We had a great stay at Hotel 5.S. Very accommodating staff. Nice room, prime location. Jimmy is a great host and will make sure you have whatever you’re looking for in your stay within Kampot. He suggested we check out Bokor Mountain on a motorbike and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Cambodia.

Great very roomy hotel, close to everything, restaurants, markets, mini mart at service station. Breakfast is really good. Staff friendly & helpful. Only thing we found was hot water in shower only lasted couple of minutes, if even that, before going cold. More like 4 star not 3 star. Would stay there again.

Nice new hotel close to the riverfront
We had a great time at this hotel which is in a quiet location with a nice pool and not far from the riverfront. The staff was very helpful and attentive to all our needs. The hotel is obviously brand new so its condition was correspondingly excellent.

Neues, sauberes Hotel. „Zentrum“ gut fußläufig erreichbar. Hotelmitarbeiter teilweise ungewohnt unfreundlich/kühl. Frühstück als Menü auszuwählen. Zimmer sauber und mit Outdoor-Dusche prinzipiell besonders, jedoch war das Fliegengitter defekt, sodass man mit einigen Mücken zu kämpfen hatte. Tuktuk-Fahrten zu Pfefferplantagen und umliegenden Tempeln/Ausflugszielen können vom Hotel aus gebucht werden.

Tolles Design-Hotel mit kleinem Pool
Das Hotel liegt zentral, kurzer Fußweg in die Stadt. Das Hotel besticht durch sein Design. Highlight ist das Dschungel-Bad. Ich hatte das Familienzimmer, was ca. 50 % mehr als ein Zimmer ohne Fenster und nur zwei Betten kostet. Auf der Terrasse fehlt eine Liege und ein Sonnenschirm. Es gibt nur wenige Liegen am Pool, die waren auch mal alle belegt. Was mir nicht gefallen hat war, dass das Hotel ab 22 Uhr verschlossen ist, man muss dann klingeln. Man fühlt sich so kontrolliert, das hat mir nicht gefallen. Wie überall in Kambodscha liegt auch vor dem Hotel Müll.
