Chateau Avalon is secluded, yet proximate to the Kansas Speedway and the Village West shopping area, and 16.5 miles from downtown Kansas City, MO. The hotel offers a collection of themed guest suites featuring styles inspired by no less than 23 different times and places, ranging from ancient Rome to 20th-century Havana.
Every suite includes a jetted spa tub in the bedroom, a flat-screen TV ranging in size from 27 to 60 inches, and access to a complimentary DVD library. Custom mattresses and plush linens and towels heighten the romantic ambience.
Rooms
The hotel's 62 guest suites feature a total of 23 different design themes distributed over the 3 stories of the French country-style building. In addition to the evocative details that make the period styles come to life, each suite contains a two-person jetted bathtub--located in the bedroom--and a flat-screen TV with a screen size from 27 to 60 inches. The TVs come with DVD players (the front desk offers complimentary DVDs from an extensive library) as well as premium channels via cable and satellite.
Each suite offers custom "Beau Reve" mattresses, 300 thread-count Egyptian cotton linens, and complimentary high-speed Internet access. Complimentary toiletries and bathrobes are also included, as well as snacks and sparkling cider on arrival.

A complimentary breakfast is delivered to each suite every morning between 7 am and 10 am. The breakfast includes fresh-baked pastries, a hot entree, specially-blended coffee, and juices.

“Can't wait to go back”
nice place, Loved the Breakfast in bed.
“Great Room, but unplesant awakening...”
I had been looking forward to my night stay for weeks because I have a 2 year old and an 8 month old and it was my anniversary outting and I was sooooooo looking forward to sleeping in after constantly waking up early every morning for the last 2 years to babies, babies, babies! Guess what? At 7:00AM, the alarm clock in the next room goes off for 15 minutes waking me up.(the room was vacant) After calling to have the clerk turn it off, it goes off again 30 minutes later just as I was falling back asleep. Soooooo....Great Room, Great Staff, BUT...that REALLY did put a damper on my plan to sleep in that I was soooo looking forward to.
“Kansas City's best kept secret!”
We had no idea what to expect. Did not realize each room had its own personality and theme. We walked into our room to find it darkened, except for soft colored lights which illuminated a whirlpool tub, and soft music playing from the stereo system. There was a bottle of chilled sparkling cider waiting for us, as well as chocolates. It was quite a welcome compared to your normal hotel room. You order off a breakfast menu and your food is delivered, piping hot, to your door at your desired time. Food was fantastic! We've never had such a comfy bed in a hotel in our lives! Homemade cookies and coffee/tea in the lobby if you choose. The hotel is beautiful. Can't wait to go back! We are telling all our friends!
“The best romantic fun ever”
This is our second trip back and it was awsome. We stayed at the castaway and the seringeti and the rooms are just fun and the breakfast is just awsome too. I little pricy but for a little getaway with out getting away its worth it.

Chateau Avalon was everything we expected it to be and more. We stayed in the Mayan rain forest room and it was great. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The only problem with the room was the stairs to the jacuzzi tub made it slightly difficult to get in and out for those that are vertically challenged. We are planning another trip to Kansas City and plan on staying at the Chateau Avalon again to try a different themed room.

“Great for Couples”
My wife and I opted to stay here for a weekend get-away. It was simply FANTASTIC! It is across the street from the Kansas Speedway, but it is nestled half a mile west of the Legends development that you seem off in the country. I saw some other guests with a baby and a young child. To me that is foolish! The place is touted as being romantic for a reason. We were in the Presidential Suite and had a great time. The breakfast choices were substantial, and I'd suggest the fruit/yogurt parfait. I cannot wait to go back!

For our honeymoon my wife and I stayed at Chateau Avalon on the recommendation of one of her co-workers. It was the best lodging experience we have had. The ambience, romance, and the room is second to none. Even the small things such as the chilled cider waiting for you when you arrive, and the beauty of the grounds were great. We can't wait to go back and have made plans to do so in the future. Thanks again to Chateau Avalon for the wonderful experience!!
