Noisy, screaming kids ruin holiday.
We stayed here last year and it was ok, but very little space to put clothes and stuff. We thought things might be better this year, unfortunately still not enough space. This time there was stupid parents totally ignoring there young children screaming, and running around the pool and splashing other holiday guests. The kid’s should be in the small pool, but the parents just let the kids do what they wanted to do without any care for there safety and letting them dive in and out of the big pool. Where is the staff, who should be monitoring this behaviour.

Cosy hotel.
Our stay at the Ibis was fantastic. Good location, good staff the pool was a good size, plenty of umbrellas and sun beds. Quiet resort with enough restaurants nearby and the beach was only about 7 mins.

Friendly resort
We stayed here 15 nights, room is small but everything else is good. The pool is a nice size and no shortage of sun beds or umbrellas. The staff are really friendly, we had a lot of laughs,nothing to much trouble, you only have to ask.

Unfortunately some amenities are not available in ibis brand like dental kits and we have available soap and shampoo 2 in 1 in the bathroom. On the contrary we are glad to learn that you liked the location & friendly staff and our breakfast.

Convenient and value for money
It’s a hotel value for money. The room size is small with everything you need. The breakfast exceeded my expectation given the room price was very economical. Free parking available. You can get to Kata beach on foot within 12 minutes.

My 6 year old daughter and i had a wonderful stay here. The staff were so helpful, friendly and polite and could not do enough to make our stay perfect. The pool was fantastic- very quiet and clean. The food was lovely. Location too was brilliant- very close to restaurants and a shop, laundry facilities next door and a very short walk to the beautiful beach. I would highly recommend this hotel. The only thing I would suggest to improve the amenities is that we only had a small wardrobe so there wasn’t much room to put away our clothes. We had a fabulous stay here - thank you for a great holiday.

Small room, small toilet/bathroom, amenities very very basic - 3-1 shampoo/body wash, hand wash, shower cap, that’s it. Pool okay. Breakfast buffet is very very limited, see pic only get to eat fried rice, There’s shuttle to the beach on timings. About 5-10mins walk to the beach, passing road so not okay if got kids to carry or walk. Hotel and room are clean. Reception and dining staff okay but not very helpful, majority looks unhappy, expecting more since only a handful of guests, Low season. Experienced blackout in the area and hotel has generator only for basic lights, endured it for about 3hrs, no apologies. Had to go out as it’s hot inside the room w/o ac. Nearby got restos, family mart, souvenir shops. Also just outside hotel there is a good massage/spa. So many other hotel/accommodation options in the area, choose well. Maybe other Accor hotel.

relaxing break
It was a relaxing stay with the beach just 5-7 minutes walk away. The hotel was centrally based with lots of restaurant and shops around. The room was cleaned regularly with pleasant staff. The bathroom was ample sized suitable for 2 people.

Air conditioning terrible. When spoke to staff about it. Reply was there is nothing wrong with it. Awful trying to sleep in a room like that. only one lift working which meant standing sweating up to 5mins waiting on one.

Ibis kata beach
Good hotel for money they charge - nice breakfast - primarily this hotel has Russian guests staying as part of package holidays - we were the only English and only met 2 other non Russians during 4 night stay - not a mix of different nationalities here. We travel a lot and especially in Asia and really can’t remember anywhere where one countries travellers had such a monopoly as here. Kata and Karon beach really seems to cater for Russian package holiday market - all menus and many signs in Russian also. Nice pool. Blunt off attitude of Russians we encountered meant we may well avoid Phuket in future but would consider here again if ever stayed in this area - as the review is for the hotel itself. Karon beach is fantastic - mile long squeaky powder sand crashing waves - fab. Taxis ridiculous prices most expensive in Thailand 1000 Baht from airport - eat seafood at walking street as far better value than restaurants where people spending way over odds as status thing with seafood.

Small room great pool
15 minute walk to kata beach from this hotel. Small room, very nice pool. Bonus: ping pong table. Morning breakfast was underwhelming but acceptable.

Nothing fancy but good value
Hotel was pretty good for what we paid. A lot of kids but that’s to be expected during Christmas break. Rooms were small but still comfortable. Bed was nice and soft. Right on the street with many shops and restaurants but a bit of a walk to the beach (about 15min). Breakfast was decent but ran out of a couple of things on both days.

Very small rooms, they allow smoking everywhere and its everywhere! Hard to enjoy if you hate cigarette smoking, its a smoker friendly hotel and town. Would not go back.

I think this hotel is typical value for money hotel. It is clean provides essential service and located not far from the Kata beach. I think 5 min by walk. If you need hotel near beach but do not want to pay expensive money this hotel is one for you. One thing that needs improvement is breakfast.

Good experience. Nice location.
Our stay was ok, as we already know what to expect from ibis. But I do want mention it was pleasant, the pool is great and good location. We did not like the food ate the hotel restaurant. We asked for a local Pad thai and was not good. The general was great stay.

Quiet hotel, close to the beach!
We stayed a week with breakfast included. The hotel is in good condition, breakfast is ok and many food choices. Room is small and only used for sleeping. 10 min. walking distance to Kata beach, 30 min walking distance to Kata Noi and to Karon beach. Plenty restaurants around, street vendors, night market and street market within a 5 mi. walk. Nice swimming pool!

Close to a disaster..
1s of all, I booked a room with a view.. well let me tell you there is no view from the 2nd floor. So then the moved me to level 5. Let's say soon as I walked in I felt costraphobic, the bathroom and to small light with no natural lights. Hotel looks like it was built in the 70 or 80s, with definitely no refresh make over.. stains on all walls and floors. And the aircon system, while off made a noise of water running in the toilet..

Wouldn't recommend ibis
Rubbish hotel. Bad Internet connection. Had to change rooms as the seemingly overbooked. Aircon not working correctly in 1 room, TV didn't work when I first went into room. Asked them to fix it, and when I went back 3 hours later still not working.

Good location, small room
Room was small, though ours had a great view of the pool. Could not open suitcase without blocking a path. Not enough power sockets. Our air con didn't work, and although we informed reception after our first night, it was not acted upon until I enquired about it again in the evening after returning from a tour. It was too late for their technicians to do anything by then so we spent a second night without aircon, which is not ideal in this climate! Finally fixed on the third evening. Staff at the hotel kindly offered us a late checkout for our two nights of no air con. Location is good; short walk from kata beach and nightlife so you won't be far from food!

Disappointing.
Disappointing, did not feel very welcomed by staff, if anything I felt we were an annoyance. The hotel did not seem to cater for all nationalities. Basic services like bell boy or room service was lacking and I do not feel the staff were trained with customer service in mind!! Very disappointing to say the least. We will not be returning to this hotel and I would be reluctant to use an IBIS elsewhere in the world.

Lovely pool and hotel
Loved our stay at the Ibis in Kata beach! Pool area is clean and lovely, it's shaded in the afternoon giving a nice break from the sun and heat of Thailand. Lobby is beautiful and a great place to lounge around with friends.The rooms are a bit small, but why spend a lot of time in the hotel rooms? Beds were very comfortable! Staff speaks great English and are very accommodating. They have a tour booking service which gave us fair prices without the hassle of bargaining. They also rent moto's right there. This is a great value for money hotel and we will stay here the next time we go to the Phuket area.
