"It was picturesque. the view from our room is exactly like these pictures show, because we were upgraded to the mountain view room. The downside was there were a LOT of bugs, but not harmful ones. so many moths, large flies, etc, because it was the lake area. So you had to manage that in your room big time. "This hotel is quite bad - water was leaking from the ceiling, bathroom is horrible, bed not comfortable, the staff slept on a mattress in the middle of the lobby area, a dog was crying all night long. Lucky us we only stay there few hours, before going to an early morning hike to Mt Batur volcano. I'll recommend to stay in another hotel or even in Ubud and waked up 1h earlier."

"Nice staff and at first look everything looks tidy and nice. Very pleased with the surroundings. However the bed was terrible like sleeping on the floor even the pillows felt like they were made of rock. Bathroom needed refurbishment badly. Overall I would say that you can’t complain since the price was so low so we got what we paid for "

"very rustic basic simple hut accommodation, very quiet with the most amazing lake and mountain views. the restaurant is built right out into the lake. the overall place however is run down, the pool isnt clean and there arent many tourist facilities. the manager was annoying, the tv/dvd not working. having said that i enjoyed my stay here but only for a couple of days. i gorta bike taxie ride from across the rd to the hot springs which was about 20 mins away and well worth the visit both days."

"absolutely beautiful resort, many activities to do within the resort, the staff is friendly, humble and accommodating. The evening shows are nice, food was good several restaurant within the resort to choose from, we set up a spa day as well and it was beautiful. The spa is located next to the river and you can hear the water while getting a massage, if there is any cons which aren't really cons, its that you are in the jungle, so there is many bugs, critters and other kind of wildlife, the bathrooms in the lobby/restaurant areas do not have air conditioning, and twice i walked in and was greeted by BIG lizard/Iguana things in the stalls. Again, it is the Jungle so I didn't let it bother me. The bell boy warned us of the monkeys that like to show up in the early morning around the villas. But again we didn't mind. Overall the Villa was beautiful and relaxing. I would love to go back to this resort one day. Of course, whenever I am mentally and physically prepared for that 24 hour flight from California. lol "
