A piece of paradise
Beautifully taken care of property. Loved all the natural trees that surround the beach area giving plenty of shade. Breakfast (especially the availability of traditional Thai noddle soup was a favorite. And rooms are comfortable with great air conditioning and showers. Service is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Nice hotel but has a couple of major problems. Food in the restaurant not the best. But the main problem for me were the showers in the room. Far too small, no room to wash and couldn’t anyway as the water went from hot to cold constantly so not fit for purpose. Fix the showers the hotel gets 4 stars.

Excellent. Dream spot. We booked a beachfront room. Looking out on the beach. About 20m to the water. A little more expensive than regular rooms but totally affordable. We are here on December 5 which seems like off season. Breakfast is included. High quality food. We will come back.

Love Samui
Hotel was well presented, staff always friendly and helpful. Adjacent to a beautiful part of the beach.. The hotel is under the flight path, but in no way did it detract from the experience. This was our 4th time in Samui and would easily stay at this hotel again.

Everything was great lovely traditional setting. Staff very attentive and helpful, room very spacious clean with private balcony you could smoke on. Right on the beach, would recommend this to friends

Good hotel
This is a good hotel which is well located on Chaweng beach with a great beach area. The staff are friendly and helpful and the restaurant food is good. The rooms are a fair size but we found the bed very firm and uncomfortable.

Nice place, friendly and helpful staff. Room facilities are basic. Bathroom drainage issues, tap was stiff to work. Would like to see smoking banned or restricted to areas where is can't drift on to others. We had to relocated our sitting several times (including during breakfast).

The heart of Chaweng Beach
Great hotel location- the very heart of Chaweng Beach. Beautiful jungle meets the sea garden setting. Very attentive staff. Nice, clean room and property. We dined on the beach at the hotel restaurant- Lalavadee. It was so good that we decided to spend the next day at this hotel. Excellent!

The staff are very helpful especially Waew. She helps us to arrange our itinerary during our stay. The safe was not working and they swiftly change our room. They give a birthday surprise by decorating our bed with flowers and a small birthday gift. Wonderful. The resort is right in the center of chaweng beach road. Accessible to shops, food and clubs. All walking distance. Love the resort.

During the last three years I have been at in several hotels at the Chaweng beach- Kho Samui, the Baan Chaweng is my best choice, authentic facility, the best rooms clean secured and the best staff with excellent customer service. I am defiantly recommend on the Baan Chaweng spa and resort.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The Resort itself was very clean and in a great location right on the beach. The location was also very easy to walk from to other restaurants, shopping and bars in Chaweng Beach area.

Overpriced - Better Alternatives Nearby
The impression is that the hotel really doesn’t care about their guests. The room was big but in poor condition. Walls are painted a drab green and all walls are dirty. The furnishings are well worn and in poor repair. The double bed was two single beds shoved together, also blocking the electric outlet, and with a single nightstand to the side with a dilapidated lamp. The mattresses are very firm like a board. The room was next to the rear of the adjoining property’s service area. At check-out, when requesting a taxi, I requested they check the rate before confirming, they refused to check the rate and when the taxi arrived the driver wanted an absurd rate. When I refused the rate, the driver left. When I asked the front desk to call another taxi the rude woman at the desk refused saying she already did her job, it is my problem. I walked down the drive in the pouring rain to the taxi stand at the driveway entrance - where the first taco cane from. The first taxi quoted a rate 1/3 lower, and while high, more reasonable.

Paradise on earth
Looking for a place to re-charge your batteries this is the place to go. Clean and very pretty well kept gardens. Friendly staff and great food. Fabulous breakfast buffet.

A rotten apple
Was booked for 3 nights st Baan Chaweng but needed to postpone my first night’s stay so asked the Thai staff at the hotel I was staying at to call and tell them I’d check in a day later and didn’t mind paying for that first night’s stay I’d miss. There was no problem with that request till the male reservation staff (the manager?) suddenly took the call from the female staff asking for more info at which time I was called to the phone...I was more than annoyed at how he was literally silent when I took the call and said do you need the info again and asked angrily why on earth do I have to repeat the info to him again and then he became defensive and said he didn’t ask to speak to me. Then I knew this guy was playing some ego-feeding mind games and I just ended the call and wound up extending my stay in Lamai rather than stay at a hotel where an arrogant guy like him is allowed to work. I know he’s just a rotten apple in the barrel because I inspected a room there last year to see if I’d like to stay there on my next trip and the staff there were more than accommodating and customer service oriented. They just need to give this rotting apple some CS training or else he’ll turn off and anger even more guests.

We are in love with this place.
It was our 2nd stay at the Baan Chaweng. We will defiantly come back again (and again). We stayed at this hotel 4 years ago and then switched to a "fancier" hotel. Well, 4 years later we returned to this one. This can tell you how good it is. Baan Chaweng is simply the best. The staff is so so friendly and some of them even remembered us from 4 years ago. They all smile and so friendly it was a pleasure. The location is just perfect. It's a beachfront hotel so it cant get any better than that. We were a family of 4 with 2 little girls (7 and 10) and they also just loved this place. We already decided that we will be back to Baan Chaweng next year again. We met a family that been coming back to this hotel for more than 10 years. It's a paradise.

The good resort with beautiful beaches and fine sand, in a central location right on the beach and close to the restaurants, bars and shopping.. Breakfast is average. The staff of the hotel was very good. It's a surprised that the resort had decorated our room to celebrated our birthday without our request, truly amazing. It takes about 20 minutes for the hotel to get to the airport with a taxi fare of THB 400. There are hawker selling BBQ meat and BBQ corn and also coconut water on the beach. Near Ark Bar, where there are a lot of people drinking, dancing and eating, is a very good hangout and lively place. However, the resort pool is a bit small.

Great location. Right on the beach. The Main Street is a lot busier now than my previous visit. The hotel is very quiet and peaceful and I highly recommend it.

so-so hotel in Chaweng beach not the best in Samui
Very old hotel in Chaweng, the busiest and oldest of the beaches in Samui. We stayed for 3 nights and had reserved 3 rooms. Upon check in we were given one key per room, the old style key with a large wooden holder. We requested additional keys but were told their policy is one key per room. They have us the breakfast vouchers, again one voucher per room per day without the possibility of having breakfast at different times for those sharing a room. Very old style, inadequate approach to doing business. The rooms were good size, beds comfortable but the furniture was dated. A/C worked well. Breakfast had enough choices of cold and hot foods. The majority of the guests were Chinese which added a certain noise level and behavior not conforming to International standards. The hotel was by the beach, unfortunately on both sides of the hotel there are medium ran downed restaurants which bring a numerous amount of people to this beach area. A mistake to book a hotel in Chaweng, something to avoid if looking for a more quiet, less crowded environment.

Great little hotel on beach
Walked out the front door into the ocean. Wonderful! Breakfast buffet makes life easy. Resort was super clean and comfortable. Backs up to all the shops of Chaweng so you can indulge in the chaos or just focus on the beach. Great place.
