“GOOD”
GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY--BAR FULL ENGLISH BREAKFAST WAS A CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST !!!!
“Affordable & Great Location!”
I booked this Hotel as a stop for my daughters Honeymoon. My son-in-laws first comment to me when picking them up after was "Great Hotel" They put them in a room away from the street. They walked to the attractions nearby and the breakfast was a full meal. It was listed as a 4 star but priced much less than others and was in a great location. I will tell my friends when they travel through London to stay there.
“Enjoyed my stay. Staff was very pleasant and extremely helpful.”
This was my first trip "across the pond". I found the room to be comfortable, but smaller than what I am used to in the U.S. Friends tell me that smaller rooms are typical in Europe. The room was very clean. The staff went out of their way to be courteous and helpful. Location was good -- in an area in which I felt safe walking even in the evening hours.
“Ver y nice hotel”
Have only good things to say about this hotel -very clean; staff very helpful and professional. Good breakfast. It's conveniently located, within a walking distance from Victoria Train Station, Buckhingham Palace, Westminster Abbey. Would definitely stay there again.
“A Bargain Hotel in a Great Location”
I stayed here for 6 days and loved it. The hotel gave me a nice quiet room in the back of the hotel away from the road even thought I didn't ask for it - they just gave it to me via my Expedia reservation. The room and bathroom were both clean with ample space to hang your clothes. Even though the bathroom was small, you got a private bathroom and every day it was thoroughly cleaned with fresh towels and soap provided. The hotel staff was friendly and willing to answer questions. It's just around the block from the metro station and some good inexpensive pubs, restuarants and a small grocery. While there are a number of hotels on Belgrave Rd, you are definately in a residential part of London and when you go to the pubs, it is full of locals and not tourists...another plus to see the REAL London. I felt completely safe in the neighborhood where the hotel is and walked around at night by myself without worry. The breakfast was good and you got to eat as much as you wanted. I would definately stay here again.
“Clean and Convenient”
My room was very small, but efficient and clean. It was very close to the Thames, Buckingham Palace, and the tube and bus lines. The service was great and they had a nice free breakfast every morning with great coffee. If I were to stay again, I would try to get a room not facing Belgrade Road as the traffic noise was noticable because the windows are single paned. As far as getting there, get off at the Pimlico tube station which is only half a block from the hotel if you're taking the tube. Victoria Station is 3-4 blocks away.
“Pleasantly Surprised”
Having only experienced 5 star hotels in London before, we were very pleasantly surprised with this 2 star hotel. Their recent renovation is lovely. Our room was small, but very pleasant; the bathroom had been beautifully redone with a nice powerful shower. It's in a semi-residential area and was very quiet - the only thing we heard was the sound of Big Ben chiming-which we loved! Their very generous continental breakfast was served in a well-appointed breakfast room in the lower level. The front desk staff was helpful when I asked for help with "tube" directions and Victoria Station is a short 10 minute walk down pleasant streets. All in all, this was a wonderful experience and we would highly recommend staying at the Best Western Corona.
“PERFECT LOCATION. WILL RETURN”
Clean. Quiet. Perfect location. Walking distance Victoria Station (including Sainsbury grocery store and other shops) several theatres and only a few blocks from the Pimlico Tube Station. The rooms are small (its London, all rooms are small) but clean and well kept. I will absolutely stay here again--I think I have found my London hotel.
“Small, European Rooms, Excellent Staff, Location and Breakfast”
Tiny, cheerful rooms with a private heater. Staff was friendly and excellent. Breakfast wonderful. View of New Year's Eve fireworks was a 10 minute walk. Very quiet room.
“Very nice.”
My friends and I spent 2 nights in this hotel and found it to be quite nice. The staff was helpful. The rooms were small compared to US rooms, but as far as London goes there were quite roomy. The bathrooms were very nice as well. Very close to Pimlico station and there was an Italian restaurant down the street that was very good. The breakfast was also good and served some of the best orange juice I've ever had. I would definately stay here again.
