“Nice old fashioned hotel”
Hotel is in great location 1/2 block to Marleybone High Street. Lobby is decorated old fashioned style with oversize leather chairs. Room is small and bathroom is "European" -- i.e. bathtub with slightly broken shower. Elevator is very small and slow. But everything is clean and functional. Great value on Expedia compared to fancier hotels.
“Great Hotel”
Excellent service, pretty central location and spacious accommodations. Would definitely stay here again.
“Will definitely go back”
Very clean rooms and quite spacious. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good location!!!
“Will definitely be back !!”
Excellent Hotel and neighborhood. It was conveniently located. Lots of breakfast places around the corner. Service was excellent. We will definitely be back.
“Can't wait to go back”
My daughter and I recently travelled to London for holiday and the Durrants Hotel provided the perfect accomodation for us - a small, charming, and thoroughly English hotel in a great location near shopping and restaurants. The hotel staff was extremely polite and helpful. We can't wait to go back next summer and stay at the Durrants!
“Ideal Hotel”
Wonderful people, nice room, swing music at breakfast (OK, not my first choice), good feeling all around. And the location is perfect. Quiet too.
“Small, but Quaint & Charming”
Rooms are small, and not all air conditioned, but comfortable and beautifully furnished. Nice staff and pleasent dining room, too. Second stay at the hotel, and we would go back again.
“Will definately go back again....”
Durrants was just what we needed, warm and full of helpful staff, lovely breakfast and a very comfortable and clean room. It is in a quiet street but easy to walk to Oxford Street and geet around, great for the Sherlock Holmes Museum, Madam Tussauds and the Everyman cinema. We felt that the 4 star rating was the first time we had felt it deserved in a London hotel, nothing "plasticky" about Durrants.
“A gem in Marylebone”
Durrants was recommended to us by a former colleague whose family has been staying there for thirty years. We loved it. The public rooms are quietly elegant and charming, and the service is impeccable. We had a room on the third floor in the back that was very comfortable and very quiet. While the room was small, it was completely adequate, had reading lamps on both sides of the bed with separate switches (an essential for us!), a desk, two mirrors in the bedroom and two in the bathroom, heat that we were able to control, windows that opened (another essential), and a very comfortable bed. The sheets were changed frequently, and there was an abundance of large towels and lovely soaps. The room was always made up at the time we wanted. We had breakfast at the hotel most mornings, and it was very good. We only ate dinner there once because we generally preferred to explore the many excellent restaurants in the neighborhood. We usually had a drink in the cozy bar before going out for dinner, and we had tea there several times. The service was always excellent.
“Jogging in London”
The location cannot be beat for us as we are runners. This hotel is located between Hyde and Regents Park!
