The room was clean and for smokers (I am). The breakfast was perfect. No hot water sometimes.

The location is fantastic, minutes walk from Paddington station and in the vicinity of many great sights London has to offer. But that and maybe the price is all that's great about this hotel. It is dirty, mismanaged, and in poor condition. Expedia advertised this hotel as a three-star. One star is a star too many for this establishment.

Handy hotel.
Cosy and quiet hotel. Very poor quality TV if you enjoy your TV in bed though. It has a handy lift and is clean. Handy for all amenities and central. Safe area with shops and eateries all around. Situated on a nice quiet square. Great for price.

I visited the prperty over 30 yrs ago, and i had expection, only i had moved on and the property had,nt. The carpets where threadbare, the beds where uncomfortable with thin mattresses, the rooms certainly needed freshing up. Its in a great central location, jyst needs some TLC. Asked if i would stay again??? Mayb

Good stay, very old hotel.
Had a weekend stay with a friend in this hotel which looks nice at the reception area but very old in the room. To be a 3 star hotel is really so old, especially the bathroom..... Over all we had a good permanency, just sometimes the water wasn’t so warm under the shower.

The hotel looks decent from the outside. Once you got to the room, it's very dated. Do not expect anything fancy. To compare, Motel 6 in the US looks like a resort. Location is great, 3min walk to Paddington station.

Excellent Hotel in central London
They hotel was in a super location ,staff was exceptional,very helpful and knowledgeable,really great value in a nice part of London with little restaurants around and even walkable to Marble Arch 20 mins away. Thank you to all the front desk staff..I don't put many reviews but they made me want to share this hotel for others to enjoy

Desperately needs a refurb
Extremely shabby hotel with threadbare carpets, old rickety bed and mismatched, ill fitted bathroom tiles, reception chairs were worn, decor was from the 80's and scruffy BUT staff were friendly, breakfast was good, shower was hot and powerful. At £50 a night in London we expected shabby, we stayed 2 nights but wouldn't want to stay any longer. Close to Oxford Street and Hyde Park, it served its purpose

Threadbare carpet, bedspreads falling apart, pillows beyond description, antiquated bathroom, yet immaculately clean. And an actual CRT portable tv with push buttons!!

TOILET LEAKED CONSTANTLY ON THE FLOOR, THE MANAGER CLAIMED TO FIX IT ONCE THE FIRST DAY, BUT IT CONTINUED TO LEAK THE REST OF THE WEEK. FLOOR BOARDS IN SOME ROOMS SQUEEK NON STOP LIKE THE ROOM ABOVE US. THE ROOM WAS VACANT THE FIRST NIGHT BUT EVERY NIGHT AFTER THE OCCUPANTS WOULD COME BACK AROUND MID NITE, AND SQUEEK THE FLOOR JOISTS STEADY FOR 45 MINUTES, THEN START UP AGAIN BY 6 AM FOR AN ADDITIONAL 1/2 HR. OTHERWISE IT WAS QUIET DURING THE DAY. HOT WATER FOR THE SHOWER AND TUB WAS GOOD EVERY MORNING 7-8 AM, BUT EACH NITE WATER WOULD NEVER GET BETTER THAN LUKE WARM. STAFF WAS HELPFUL, BUT WITH DIRECTIONS AND PHONE CALLS BUT, AS I SAID MAINTENANCE WAS LACKING AND WITH ONLY 4 TV STATIONS THAT IS JUST PLAIN SAD.....20 YEAR OLD TV TOO. WE HAVE FLAT SCREEN TV'S THESE DAYS. THIS PLACE IS STUCK IN THE 1960'S

I got this hotel as part of a flight/hotel combo. The price was great, and it proved the saying, "You get what you pay for." The Wi-Fi works only in the lobby, and it is slow even there. The carpets are threadbare throughout, including in the room. I felt as if I was sleeping on springs rather than a mattress. The electric kettle had a large amount of build-up that flaked off readily. The floors creaked, so I heard my upstairs neighbors walking at all hours of the night, and my next-door neighbors listened to their TV through the night. With all that griping out of the way, the staff was friendly and helpful, including loaning me a power adapter.

If you like retro from the 80, it is the right place! ;-) If you do not mind that it needs renovation, is it a ok location near Paddington station, a lot of places to eat near by, ok bed and breakfast. Could have been better water pressure and temperature in the shower, but it worked.

Worst nights sleep ever. Doors are paper thin and can hear people around you coming in and out until 2am in the morning. Very dated and warn down place... Shame as it’s a good location but would never stay here again!
