“Nice for the price!”
While our room was quite small, everything was extremely clean and in good shape. There is a surcharge for use of the air conditioning, but it was a reasonable one. Very nice for the price. Very convenient to Paddington station, and there was a wonderful line of reasonably-priced restaurants on the block leading to the station.
“Very clean, very modern and close to Paddington”
The Olympic House Hotel is one of many smaller hotels a few blocks from London Underground's Paddington station. If you are flying in to Heathrow airport, the Heathrow Express that brings you from the airport to Paddington station in only 15 minutes makes this hotel extra convenient and reduces your getting-there expenses. The hotel itself was very modern, very clean and friendly. The rooms were small, but the rate through Expedia was terrific. Being only 2 blocks from Paddington also meant that we were able to explore London by subway (the Underground) inexpensively and easily. Internet access was available for a hefty daily charge, but worth it when you're looking up sites, events and directions to the many interesting things to see and do in London.
“Great 1st trip to London”
I stayed here for my first trip to London / UK a few weeks back (right after the volcano crisis). After thinking my trip would be cancelled due to the volcano, things worked out and the hotel stay was a part of that. The room was clean and neat, as well as the bathroom. Breakfast was light but suffiicent to start the day. The location (Paddington) was close to the Tube and worked well for us as we explored London. The room was small, but that's to be expected in Europe and not an issue. Not sure what the others were complaining about in earlier reviews. I would definitely consider staying here again.
“Nice hotel in a good location”
We spent the last 4 nights of our latest holiday in the Olympic House Hotel. It is a great hotel in a good location. just a few minutes from Paddington station, and a short walk to Hyde park. The hotel has a elevator this is great when you have heavy bags. The room are clean and the bathroom is a good size for London (I could stand in the shower without touching the walls!). There are lots of places to eat nearby including lots of middle-eastern food on Edgeware Rd.
“Olympic House-Great hotel near Paddington”
This is the perfect London hotel for visitors on a budget. The rooms are newly upgraded with everything needed - great shower, good TV, wi-fi connection, and above all very close proximity to Paddington (great for access to Heathrow Airport). The staff helped out when I had a request, which was much appreciated! The only suggestion I might make is that the beds may need upgrading soon. I plan to use this hotel every time I visit London!
“Olympic House Hotel”
Room was very clean and all accommodations were updates and well maintained.
“clean, friendly, nice location”
Staff is friendly and hotel is very clean. Close to Paddington station where you can get on the tube or train easily. Also, its within walking distance to Hyde park. Rooms are on the small side compared to typical american hotels, but was just fine for 2 once we got the luggage put away. Breakfast was okay- cereal, cold cuts, OJ, coffee, pastries. Would definitely return.
“very happy with the whole deal”
as a single senior traveller the service i recieved was excellent, very clean hotel, good breakfast, friendly staff, great location.
“brilliant value hotel”
I stayed at the Olympic house hotel on my own being 5 months pregnant and felt safe and secure during my stay. The rooms have been refurbished to an extremely high standard and were excellent value for money, one point that could be made was that there was no shampoo or shower gel in the en- suite and no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, this was not a problem for me and i assume they provide these facilities for double/family rooms?.Perhaps there could have been more choice for breakfast as it was quite a sparse continental breakfast with just boiled eggs ,thin ham and cheese slices on offer but there was also cereal and toast so it was no big deal. The cleanliness was of the highest level which is more important to me that the points raised and the overall comfort was very good indeed with a lift to all floors operating smoothly. The reception was welcoming and friendly and i would definitly use this hotel again and recommend it to friends.
“Nice and new and comfortable.”
It felt great to go "home" at night on a quiet street. Tube and rail stations were just around the corner. Staff was very helpful and the rooms were like new.
