This was a quiet and tranquil stay, which soothed my stress a lot. It is not a gorgeous hotel, but it has a cozy and friendly atmosphere with kind and attentive staff. If you want to just relax during your stay, you should choose this one.

Clean, decent wifi, good location for walking in Luang Prabang, the monks come by the street out front from 6-7am every day. Only small drawback is an occasionally noisy cantina across the street. Lovely staff

This place was great. It had a very charming atmosphere. My room, while simple, was tastefully designed. There was no TV, but I didn't miss it one bit. The garden courtyard was a great place to unwind with a book or enjoy breakfast, which, I might add was quite good. I liked that, rather than being a warmed-over buffet on steam tables, it was a simple menu with just enough choices, and it was all made to order. The location was also great — plenty of dining options nearby, just a few blocks away from the riverfront, and if you are willing to wake up early enough, you can watch the Buddhist monks doing their morning alms right outside the front door. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Luang Prabang.

A perfect location within easy reach of temples, markets , restaurants. See the Buddhist monks passing each morning to receive tokens from both residents and tourists. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the staff is exceptional. Breakfast was plentiful. I will recommend the Lotus Villa Boutique Hotel to anyone wanting to visit the most friendliest country in Asia , a perfect Gem

We were so happy with our stay at LVBH. The rooms were comfortable, the breakfasts were made to order, the location was so central to everything we needed in the lovely old town of Luang Prabang. We were there in LP for a bike/trekking trip so returning after several hard days was such a pleasure. They helped us with laundry, airport transfer and just kindness and direction as needed. Will definitely return some day.

Great place to stay!
The Lotus Villa Boutique Hotel is sweet little hotel off the main street. There isn’t a pool and it’s a little more of a traditional style hotel. It’s very clean and charming and the breakfasts were very good. We recommend staying in a second-floor room at the back of the hotel (not street facing). The views are better from this side and these rooms have a lot of light. The staff at the Lotus Villa are quite pleasant and fun to talk with. Across the road is Popolo, an Italian restaurant with some very tasty food, and just a few blocks away is the terrific Tamarind that serves a very delicious vegan tasting menu (reserve a table outside on the deck). Also, be sure to check out the boutique Ock Pop Tok located about a block from the hotel. This is a female driven weaving co-op that has beautiful fabrics and they offer a free shuttle to their local Living Crafts Center.

Everything you see, but better
The photos do not do it justice. Once walking through the small entry lobby, it is like walking into a botanical garden. The rooms sit facing lush greenery. The rooms are very comfortable. The staff could not be nicer. Breakfast is ordered from a menu, not a buffet, which was a great treat. I cannot praise this hotel highly enough.

Patrimonial boutique hotel in the middle of a lush garden. Beautiful, confortable and well located place. Exquisite breakfast with a local special everyday in addition to western ones. Staff very kind and helpful. I definitely recommend it and wish to go back again.

So peaceful and relaxing space! Room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. No TV though. Breakfast was great, I could choose continental or Laos food. Having beef noodle soup and mango sticky rice in the garden under the trees was one of the great moments. I felt like I stayed clean room in jungle.

We stayed for four nights. Overall the hotel is good, and I would stay here again. ADVICE: call/email the hotel and arrange airport pickup $10 USD. We chose the taxi route to save money. You need to buy a ticket at the airport taxi/transfer desk, which can be a hassle. Then, the driver dropped us off and pointed us to “our hotel” but he was off by over ½ a mile. We had to rent a tuk tuk to get to our hotel. We are savvy travelers but were exhausted from over 40 hours travel. It just happened. As for the hotel. Check-in was easy. The Wi-Fi was poor. Otherwise, the water was hot (excellent shower), toilets flushed, etc. We were on the second floor. No elevators and tight winding stairs. Be careful. The hotel was quiet. We had no issue with early morning traditional monk walk. In fact, we had a street view and our room was quiet. Also, our room had a large balcony overlooking the breakfast courtyard. Breakfast was from 7 AM to 11 AM. It was made to order with additional helpings if requested. Room size was adequate complete with air conditioning and a fridge. The room was equipped with coffee maker and plenty of fresh water was available. Hotel location was within walking distance to everything, including plenty of restaurants. Food prices are inexpensive. The hotel can arrange tours, but we did everything on our own. We walked to the Mekong and found a driver or a boat master, depending on our needs.

I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at the Lotus Villa Hotel in Luang Prabang this past December. To be honest I picked the hotel rather quickly without extensive research. But this was my lucky day! Lotus Villa has a great location – close to shopping, a wide variety of restaurants, temples and pagodas, as well as other travel worthy sites. The breakfast in the garden was a nice touch and very well done. The wait staff were terrific! Housekeeping was always there but you never saw them – just their efforts (which were competent and efficient). I especially liked how housekeeping would visit my room while I was out to dinner, turn down the bed, adjust the lights, and leave a votive candle nightlight so you’re not lost in the dark. The manager was especially helpful with tours and other matters – and he recommended a great spa just around the corner (which I visited every day!). I will certainly be returning to Lotus Villa in the future.

Nice courtyard is perfect place for breakfast
we stayed here 3 nites and have nothing to complain about except AC, it does not work well to keep up with humidity (outside temp around 100F) Staff are polite & friendly, especially, ladies work in kitchen & ladies clean our room twice a day:) Breakfast is good! Location is safe for walking around.

The hotel is extremely unique as it is located in the UNESCO section of the town. The breakfast is served in a lovely courtyard and the food is awesome. Especially the tamarind coconut jam The rooms are cute and looks like olden rooms but has all the amenities. One of the most unique feature is the turndown service and the things that is left for the guest. The first night we got a story book. And the second night some local tea and the final night a Lao scarf Very different and unique. What makes it more special is the staff that will bend over backwards to help

Great location. Pleasant courtyard. Beautiful breakfast. Nice friendly staff. When we did not know was major construction next door at the time. 5PM everyday was welcomed with our happy hour. Yes, I would go back. Construction should be completed.

Great location in the middle of the sights, shops and restaurants. Old colonial building in a historic area. Nice bed. Shower not strong. Welcome gift of little local ground coffee. Very picturesque hotel
This is a great spot to watch the monks. Just pop out of your room for the early morning ceremony and pop right back to bed. They walk right past the hotel.

Terrific hotel
The Orchid Suite was very spacious and comfortable and gave the three of us plenty of room. Having a balcony overlooking the street was an additional plus, allowing us to observe the monks' morning call for alms without being intrusive. The staff was always helpful and accommodating and the included breakfast was a step above the usual. Extra amenities like an umbrella, nightly treats and a book swap library were a nice touch. The location in the old town area was close to everything but quiet at night. We really enjoyed our time there.

Handy quiet location
We stayed for several nights and although the room is fairly basic it is quite comfortable and pleasantly quiet. The breakfast is good with enough variety to please. Its an easy walk to most sites and restaurants. The staff are helpful and friendly.

A wonderful boutique hotel in the middle of town. We walked everywhere and the monks passed the hotel every morning and we could just sit in our verandah and watch. Breakfast gets a special mention as we looked forward to breakfast every morning, served open air at the courtyard. Made fresh on order and variety was great, a daily special, western and local breakfast available.Eggs, bacon, croissants, fresh fruit and fresh fruit juices, homemade jams and you could order what you wanted. The hotel left little surprises for us everyday, one day we had lao green tea leaves, another day we were left lao desserts and they lit an oil diffuser in our room every night so it smelt nice when you get back. The aircond was not as cold as we'd like but there was a ceiling fan too and a shower cubicle would've been nice. No TV but overall an amazing stay. Hotel staff were great!
