“A Quality Hotel”
The Hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. Staff were great, Service was great as value for cost this hotel exceeded all expectations. Prob a 5 or 10 minute walk to the underground then a 1 euro quick train rid to anywhere in Madrid. Absolutely Exceptional, this is now my third favorite hotel in Madrid.
“Very convenient to Atocha. Pleasant neighborhood”
Spent two very pleasant nights at the Agumar. Super quiet room and friendly, accomodating staff. Location very convenient.
“Would stay there again”
This Hotel is a ten minute walk from the main station. The reception staff very helpful, and spoke very good English. Room was large and very clean with a beautiful marble bathroom. I would stay there again and highly recommend it to travellers heading to Madrid. Easy to catch the Metro trains, but, my husband and I (both in our 50's) preferred to walk everywhere, very easy to get to and fro.
“liked the hotel, service was nice, will stay there again”
Nice hotel, not far from the center, front desk was very helpful with making reservations and explaining directions, room was nice but beds were a bit too small but after the second night we got used to them; it might be a good idea to have a coffee maker in the room as most hotels in Europe do;in general we liked the hotel and might stay there again when we go to Madrid next time.
“Great Hotel”
Great Hotel In A Great Location
“When in Madrid...”
The hotel rooms were spacious, especially considering many of the typically cramped European rooms I have stayed in in the past. There was quite a bit of road noise but the rooms were clean and the front desk staff very helpful with very good English. There is a Metro stop just a few blocks down the hill and the Prada art musuem just another 10 minutes away by foot as well. The breakfast was a bit expensive but food was decent. I would recommend this hotel.
“Will definitely return to this brilliantly located hotel.”
Very close to Atocha, one of Madrid's main stations; this was a great advantage as we were able to visit El Escorial very easily by train.Lots of bars and cafes close by and a bus stop outside of the hotel on the Circlar Route. Lovely, friendly hotel staff, spotlessly clean rooms and a fantastic breakfast. We will be back!
“Good quality, quiet hotel.”
The staff were pleasant and polite, and the hotel clean and well maintained.
“Before and after Pamplona”
My sons and I stayed at this hotel for one night before we went to Pamplona and for two nights after we got back. I thought the place was great. It is an easy walk from Atocha and an easy walk to the Prado and even Puerta del Sol and Plaza Royal. We even walked to the Royal Palace. Of course, Madrid has some hills, but they were no problem. They have a nice breakfast buffet (not included) and the help was courteous and knowledgeable. The folks at the desk had varying English skills, but since I speak Spanish a bit there was no trouble communicating. The rooms were spotless. Wifi is extra, I think 6 Euros a day, but so what. For Catholics, there is a church across the street down a short hill.
“Great hotel walking distance to Atocha train station”
Altho a little predictable decor-wise this is a perfectly clean, comfortable, well situated hotel within a short walk to the train, metro, and botanical gardens. Rooms and baths are a great size, the staff were extremely helpful and spoke multiple languages very well. Not a huge number of restaurants in the immediate area but the objective is to see Madrid, isn't it? Low cost internet facilities were across the street as well as a pharmacy and grocery type place. I'd stay here again without hesitation.
