Manglaralto gem
It was a very pleasant stay. Paola accomdated us in the balcony view room . We extended for three more nights because we liked it so much away from the crowds of Montenita. The beach in the little town is amazing.

We stayed in this cute and well hospitality family hotel. Was clean, queit, hot water, AC, and great breakfast. Paula was there to answer all our qeastions and help us with recomndations and information. Its deffently a place to stay and enjoy both quiet and party montanita (30 mins walking or 3 mins by taxi or bus from montanita).

Paola & her staff were very accommodating & efficient. Breakfast & coffee were very good. The bed was comfortable & we had great view from our terrace. Very few dining options other than seafood but the ceviche was great.

It was great, in Ecuador you got to be careful how you book a room for one person; Buddha permit you bring another person they will try to give you a hard time; luckily the lady at the front desk; was nice enough to let us stay; without charging me. She was going to. After all was great and very convenience, Ah, one more thing make sure they turn the boiler for your hot water. Even thou is Ecuador; but I stay in winter; a little chill.

Nancy and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The property is very quiet and tranquil. WiFi was poor, breakfast adequate and hot water a challenge at times. But the rooms were clean and service excellent. One block from the beach, a small village with limited but sufficient amenities for a short get-away from the madness and noise of Montanita! Thank you Nancy!

Lovely getaway close enough to Montanita
We had a lovely time at Puerta Sol Inn. We enjoyed days on the beach in Montanita and were glad to come home to peace and quiet in Manglaralto at night. Wendy and the team at Puerta Sol were always kind, respectful and offered excellent- above and beyond service. The rooms were very clean, food was good and wifi worked pretty well. FYI- the hot water was backwards in our room (right was hot). Looking forward to visiting again!

Nice hotel close yet far enough from Montanita
The hotel owner Wendy was excellent throughout our 4days/3nights stay here. She made sure we had towels to take with us when we were going on a tour to Isla de la Plata and even took us on her personal car to Montanita one time because there wasn't any taxi available. This hotel is about 5 min taxi ride (and 30-40 min walk on the beach) away from the crowded and party-filled Montanita. I thought this was a perfect distance away from the chaos yet close enough for us to enjoy the life in Montanita. Room was very clean, and shower was excellent (with hot water!). Breakfast was also delicious with different fruits, juice, eggs, and bread every day. The only thing I would warn about is the wifi. It was never strong enough for me to depend on. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this hotel!

quiet hotel 3/4 hr walk up beach from Montana
Wendy and the Staff were extremely helpful. The breakfasts were fantastic with great coffee. Across the road from a nice beach and a very friendly Gringo bar (James Bar)up the street.

The management (Wendy, Paola, Michael) are very attentive and helpful and provided everything we needed. This hotel is quaint and very safe. I originally booked only for 3 nights but extended another 3 nights.

Nice and clean hotel, great staff, good breakfast, the rooms are ok, bathrooms a bit rusty. Due to the configuration of the hotel, people that gathers for breakfasts at the courtyard can be a source of noise to some of the rooms that face the courtyard, specially if you wish to sleep in. Overall nice, across the beach and 5 minutes to montanita

I loved this Hotel, Wendy the Hotel Manager went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. All of the staff were friendly and there to help whenever you needed it. The hotel itself was clean and tidy and the perfect location next to a beautiful beach.A room with a balcony is a must, many days were spent on the balcony or in a hammock in the courtyard. the breakfast's were delicious especially the french toast! I cant find anything bad to say about this hotel, I would recommend it to anyone who wants to experience Montanita with the added extra of a lovely hotel in a quiet, friendly town with a clean picturesque beach. It is a 15 minute walk or a $2 taxi ride into Montanita, Wendy and the team are always available and happy to phone for a taxi for you if you don't fancy the walk. Thank you for making our holiday perfect Wendy!

I love this hotel!! The staff couldn't have been more helpful, whatever you needed they were there to help. The location was perfect, right next to a quiet beach and a 15 minute stroll along the beach to Montanita. The hotel itself is lovely, with a great atmosphere. Many afternoons were spent on the balcony or in a hammock. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to experience the fun in Montanita ($1.50 taxi journey) with the added extra of a nice hotel in a quiet town with friendly locals and a prestine beach right outside your door

We had some difficulty at first locating the hotel, as it doesn't have a sign, but it's a really small village, so that was quickly solved by heading for the road closest to the beach. It was pretty easy to locate, but I would recommend a small sign. We were greeted at the gate by Wendy, who invited us in early. The hotel is small, well laid out, and very clean. There's a great ocean view from the 3rd floor patio, and the view from our 2nd floor balcony was also nice. There's lots of fun neighborhood goings on: Vendors riding bikes and motorcycles early morning, selling fresh milk, sardines caught during the night from the ocean, watermelons, plantains, pineapples, and more from the back bed of a truck. Wendy prepares you a morning breakfast of fruits and juice, coffee and eggs of your choice (Ask for the cheese stuffed boiled plantains, yummy.) Several small mini-markets less than 2 blocks away for sodas, beer, snacks. A couple things Wendy could do to make it almost perfect for those looking to be a 5 minute ride to the action in Montanita, but actually be able to get some sleep, with the sound of the surf lulling you off in to slumber. First, a small work table for your computer and a room size refrigerator and microwave next to that. Also, mattresses that are softer. I would gladly stay for a week or longer with those little accommodations, as it is a great little hotel, with a host who is totally dedicated to your comfort.

Un feriado muy bueno y tranquilo. La zona esta bien cerca a la playa y hay resguardo de los autos en la calle con video. Ricos desayunos. Sin duda volveré.

Tranquilidad y Comodidad como en casa
Nuestra estadía fue de 6 noches, desde que llegamos nos sentimos como en casa. Wendy nos recibe, ella es de esas personas que te conociera desde siempre. Super cortés, nos ayudó con las maletas a nuestras consultas de que conocer cerca a parte de Montañita. La habitación se tenía todo lo que uno quiere, tranquilidad, buen dormir, limpia, se hace el aseo todos los días, con botellas de agua para lavarse los dientes o tenerlas para tomar, buenas terminaciones. Tienen TV por cable y wifi gratuito bastante bueno de velocidad que nos ayudó mucho para elegir restaurantes o ir a lugares cercanos. Durante el desayuno Wendy nos sorprendía cada día con la cocina ecuatoriana. Nos preparaba pastel de choclo con queso, bolones fritos de verdes (una especie de platano) con queso exquisitos, omelets y otras cositas mas muy rico todo acompañado de huevos revueltos con juguito natural de mango, naranja, fresas, papaya y otros con pancito, café, mermelada con mantequilla. Inclusive mi pareja durante el primer día estaba con problemas estomacales y Wendy le dio un remedio para la flora intestinal que funcionó de maravilla, nunca tuvo mas problemas. Gracias Wendy por hacer nuestra estadía mas placentera. Recomendado un 100% que volvería a hospedarme aqui.

El hotel esta muy cerca del centro de Montañita ( el taxi te cobra 1.5usd) y es bastante comodo con una linda vista al mar. La atencion es muy buena y el desayuno mucho mejor ! Perfecto para familias, pues no esta cerca del bullicio del centro.

lugar tranquilo, y linda playa solitaria a 2 cuadras del hotel. Agradecemos la gentileza de Wendy que siempre nos atendió amablemente y nos trato de hacer la estadia lo más grata posible, facilitandonos un parasol y toallas para estar en la playa y nos despidió con un excelente desayuno en la terraza.
