We loved staying at the Embassy Suites in Downtown Minneapolis. We chose a Corner King Suite and it had an amazing view. Don’t hesitate to upgrade. We enjoyed how close it is to Target Field and other restaurants downtown. We really enjoyed Tom’s Watch Bar across the street. We also walked to the Mill City Museum- about a 25 minute walk. The breakfast was great and everyone was very attentive. The made to order omelets were the best. We chose to park offsite using SpotHero because I’m not a fan of paying $55 per night for valet parking. If I come to Minneapolis again I will stay here!

I read so many positive reviews on this property, but unfortunately I can’t say I had a positive experience. For such a high end property it really felt like the staff was trying to scam us out of money at every turn. We were charged an extra $111 on top of our $200 deposit. The staff tried to tell us it was an overcharge for valet (which we never used the valet), and woùld have kept that money if we hadn’t said anything. On top of that, there are no vending machines on any guest floors. This forces everyone to walk to the registration desk to choose from one fridge and a few shelves worth of overpriced snacks. They then tried to charge us for double the amount of snacks than we actually bought. Again, if we hadn’t said anything, they would have simply taken our money. IN ADDITION, none of the staff could tell us where a great place to park we were told to just accept the $60 valet parking. We found a dirty, garbage filled outdoor parking lot next to the hotel. When went to leave the next morning, we found fine print on the parking sign that said if we didn’t leave by 8am there would be fines added. We ended up being charged $50 for one night to park in that dirty parking lot. This hotel is very conveniently located, and is pretty clean. However, I think I would rather walk a mile to Target stadium or field before I stay here again.

Evening staff was polite not overly friendly. Morning front desk person had an attitude with everyone including me. Not appreciated as if he was not happy with his job, that was not my fault. Room was clean. It said room had a king size bed, it was a queen size bed. No shower gel and toilet lid was broken. Breakfast and breakfast staff very nice and helpful. Bar tender was very nice.
