I stayed here once 15 years ago when I was a child and had a blast, the conditions when we arrived this year were not up to standard. The beds were rock hard, and lop sided on the box springs. The couch and chair in the living space was definitely never changed and worn down and the arm rests on them were browning, likely from not being cleaned. The pool was fine except the kiddie area was freezing. You had to wear wristbands on the pool deck, which if I’m paying to stay somewhere especially 700-800 dollars I don’t want to think “ did I forget my wristbands?!” You have to pay for parking. Which was not in the amenities on the website, just that there was parking. You also have to pay extra for “insurance”. The last two parking decks are gated off so the rest filled up quickly and you’d have to go across the street, which wouldn’t be an issue if there were Dollie’s readily available and accessible to use for this.
Overall it was okay, but definitely run down. I expected some since I hadn’t stayed at this resort for sometime but still I thought the pictures were accurately representing the resort and they weren’t. If I do go back to Myrtle in the future I’ll look elsewhere until they updated everything. I did like that there was silverware and pans and things to cook with.
