The hotel has a wonderful location right on a beautiful beach with reasonable access to the Colombo Airport. The facilities were dated but reasonable. It was pretty empty which did not add to the ambiance. They served a nice breakfast.

We were so pleasantly surprised with this hotel! The room was lovely, huge bath, super comfy travel cot for our daughter, beach was beautiful and so big! Service was also fantastic, everyone was very friendly and helpful.

Bit dated and be aware of noisy weekends
On arrival we didn’t get the usual friendly Sri Lanka welcome. The hotel is a bit dated but our room had been recently painted. Getting a drink around the pool is hard work as the outside bar is often unattended. There is little/no atmosphere in the hotel and it was v quiet in the evening (we ate elsewhere during our 2 night stay). We went next door to Goldi Sands for a drink which seemed to have more going for it, there was a wedding on and the music stopped promptly at 11am. On our second night (a Saturday) we were hoping for an early night before our morning flight the next day. However we were kept awake until after midnight by a very noisy wedding with fireworks. We think it was at the other Jetwing hotel which neighbours this one to the south. We called reception to complain but there was nothing they would do. The balcony doors and windows are old and single glazed, even with ear plugs we could still hear the music loudly, it was a very annoying end to a lovely holiday. We wouldn’t stay here again.

Great Hotel
I enjoyed my stay at Jetwing Beach Negumbo. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of food. The main swimming pool is a good size and the location right by the beach. Short walk to the main restaurant/bar area in Negumbo and of corse very convenient for the airport.

This was an overnight stay before early morning flight. The hotel insisted on payment with USD. After some hassel they agreed to accept Sri lankan rupees. We asked them to cancel breakfast but they couldn't and offered to to give packed breakfast instead. Attitude was not customer friendly. Overall, good to stay. Did not get chance to try out the restaurants etc...

Rooms were damp and air conditioning barely worked, we asked to be moved to a room on a different floor after viewing a few others on the ground floor which were just as bad, the room we moved to was better but glad we only stayed 5 days!

Food was great. The issues were with the mosquitoes in the room. The air conditioner barely worked so it was hot. The butler gave us a fan to use. We should of gotten another better room. When we go to the beach there’s always someone asking for money. They need to get rid of the homeless people out of there and stop bothering tourists for money and following them around the beach. There’s a big language barrier for the staff members. They speak little English and it’s hard to explain to them what exactly you need. They need to be taught.

We liked the food and the friendly and helpful staff. They are very supportive and they do everything what they can . The main issue is the resort is not 5* resort, the rooms are outdated, need urgent make over. The bed / clothes everything is wet of the moist, the ressort should invest in dehumidifier and should be more active regarding mosquitoes.

Overall it was very comfortable and only thing is that there was hardly no one at the hotel due to the recent attack. The Sri Lankan hospitality was superb.

A dreary and depressing hotel. It was designed by a “famous” architect but like his other works it’s a very badly designed hotel. We were put in possibly the most remote room, maybe since we booked with hotels.com and not direct. Hotel has a major crow or raven problem. There are so many around the pool and sun beds. Only had breakfast there which was average. Very much in need of upgrading. I would not recommend it.

Great hotel right on the beach.
Great hotel very mice rooms and the staff are excellent. We ate from the buffet several times which was great food and a wide variety of choices. I would also.recomend the high tea again we had this twice and really enjoyed it. There are several choices of restaurants in the vicinity but only slight downside was felt we were on the outskirts of town.

Would go again - and we have!
This was a return trip to this hotel and we would go again. The superb pool, the sun bathing area with plenty of shade, the beach bar for snacks and the beach where watching the local fishermen haul in their catch all make for a perfect stay. The staff are always smiling and helpful and the breakfast has everything any nationality could wish for.

Example of poor professionalism of this hotel : we ordered 2 room service ice creams. The ice cream ordered from their menu was 3 flavours (3 balls)with chocolate syrop and cashew nuts. First we received 2 ice creams with 2 balls without syrop and cashew nuts. We refused, the went back and brought us the same ice creams (partially melted) without SPOONS! They said that they would come back with spoons, but never came back... We couldn't enjoy our small wished delight. Many other things were a disaster too (no sunbeds available ecc), I spent 250€ for 1 night

Highly recommended; excellent breakfast
We were made welcome from arrival through to departure. The room was very spacious with a lovely balcony overlooking the beach and sea. Breakfast buffet was outstanding. Only suggestion is to have a sugar-free option for the welcome drink.

The hotel was really clean and the food was amazing. We will definitely be staying at this hotel again in the future. There are also some local shops nearby which is great for doing all the holiday shopping.

Pool looks dated. Poor selection of food during day. Disappointed at view from my room. Other deluxe ocean front rooms seemed to have much better views. But bar area over looking beach was very nice, staff very helpful.

Friends and helpful staff . Nice pool One thing that I am very impress is that this hotel is so committed to plastic reduction that I did not see any plastic during my entire stay . Good on them !
