Hotel deserves more than 2star . Hotel was clean newly upgraded . Room need a little updating but had double doors to a small balcony. I was also pleased that TV had Sony cannell & Great movies as when your alone a relaxing movie can be nice Small cafe open basic sandwich a very reasonably priced and the staff were lovely

Cons: The safe is screwed to a wooden wardrobe, which could be easily removed in full with a crowbar. The balcony doors do not lock. The towel rack is at head height as entering the shower, meaning hitting your head entering the shower is a real danger. There is no refrigerator. The pool is small. The public recycling and waste bins are located right outside, and are emptied between midnight and 6 am, they are not quiet. Pros: The staff are exemplary, polite and friendly. The room was clean and bright with also a blackout curtain. There was a small but usable balcony with a great view. There is a minimarket just opposite the hotel, open until late. There is a launderette just opposite the hotel. 5 minute walk from busses to any direction. 5 minute walk from the nearest beach. 5 minute walk to the Balcon de Europa. 2 minute walk to the Supermarket. The pool is situated on the roof and has a great view. Hotel is prime location for walking to anywhere in Nerja. Plenty of Scooter / Motorbike parking directly outside the hotel. Room was spacious with a desk and side tables. TV had HDMI connection to plug in personal devices. Overall a good hotel with great staff in an excellent location, even given the cons mentioned above, I would recommend this 2-star hotel to anybody who was looking for a clean hotel somewhere central. While considerations should be made for safety of high value items as the safe is poorly secured and very small.

Good little hotel quite handy for the bus station and only a short walk from town centre and beach. Nice little swimming pool on roof which we had to ourselves most of the time, although no shade. Great inexpensive cafe downstairs with really friendly staff.

Great stay at a fantastic price
If your looking for a great wee hotel at a great price look no further than the Bajamar. Rooms are air conditioned and cleaned daily. Small roof top pool. Staff are fantastically friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a quiet area of town but a few minutes walk from the beach and the old towns bars and restaurants. There is a lovely inexpensive cafe attached too. Can be a little noisy in the morning if you’re room is above the cafe but we didn’t mind that at all. Great place and we’ll worth the money.

Parking is easy around Nerja when you understand the area. We've stayed here many times. No restaurant or breakfast but so many options with in a 5 minute walk. A discrete small shop open until midnight every day, where you can buy most things is opposite the entrance. Check out 12noon which is helpful . Good VFM. Staff lovely.

Fantastic little hotel I can’t praise enough. The rooms are cleaned daily and towels changed. There’s also a safe in each room which is available at a small extra charge.There’s no tea or coffee as you would get in the UK but with a coffee in the cafe costing €1.20 it’s no great loss. There’s a pool on the roof and reception are more than happy to provide extra towels if you want to take a dip. It’s the staff that make this hotel though. Everyone in the hotel and cafe are so friendly and welcoming. Reception staff make check-in and departure so easy. The cafe staff led by Fernando are always smiling and quick to take your order. Even the night Porter has a smile and a wave when you arrive back in the evening. For the cost of the room, this hotel is a wee diamond in Nerja and one we’ll be visiting again soon.

On this occasion I didn’t stay at hotel Bajamar even though we had booked in September 2019 for a 2 week break . My mother passed away 5 days before we were due to stay at hotel Bajamar so I contacted Expedia customer services to ask what we’re my options and the gentleman on the telephone said he would contact the reception to see what could be done. On returning my call he said that the Bajamar would not help us in anyway and if we did not book in on arrival date we would lose all of our money. As you would expect this was very upsetting for me on top of loosing my mother, we have stayed at the Hotel on a few occasions and would have excepted a credit for another holiday at another time with no problems , in fact they have been very friendly and accommodating on our previous stays especially Anna but at this sad time they did nothing to alleviate my stress. I thank Expedia customer services for trying to help but I am disgusted with the response from Hotel Bajamar and would have expected more understanding from their customer services.

A little gem
7 years we’ve been going to this little gem. It’s nothing fancy but it’s kept clean and the staff can’t do enough for you. Fernando and his staff in the cafe are fantastic. Always smiling and giving customers a warm welcome. The receptionists are knowledgable and helpful. Even the cleaning staff are always happy to help and always working. My only concern is that posts like this will make it difficult to keep booking as more and more try it.

This was a weekend away. We have stayed before. We felt very safe staying considering the Covid 19 situation hence the reason to return to the hotel. For us the location is perfect for walking to Nerja center and all the restaurants and bars. Everything is clean and all sanitizers are readily available.

The hotel is in a central location which although busy during the day is quiet at night, so no problem sleeping. The hotel is immaculately clean throughout and the reception staff are friendly and helpful. The roof terrace is a nice place to relax in the sun, and the cafe bar is ideal for breakfast or a drink in the evening.

The rooms were spotless and we loved our balcony that overlooked the street. Anna made check in swift and easy after a long commute from Boston. The location to beach and restaurants was perfect, we walked everywhere. The cafe downstairs was an added bonus along with the rooftop pool. We had two downsides to our stay...the room keys pretty much never worked so you had to go up and down a lot to get the key reset. Second, I believe her name was Meliska or Melissa who works the front desk? There were 9 of us staying in 5 different rooms and she went out of her way to be RUDE and IGNORANT to all of us at separate times. It's really too bad, since all the other employees in hotel and cafe were lovely and helpful. Definitely put us off staying there again.
