“best location, best service, this is a great hote!!!!!”
hotel is right across from Grand Centeral station, take the Friday tour of the Grand building its for FREE on Fridays at 12:00 ck on the web. great spot to get on the subways and around NYC. Times Sq is a 4 min walk, Broadway theather is also 5 min walk. the hotel has the best beds i have ever slep in. hotel staf were the best, The out side dinning area was great.
“Great Location”
Good value hotel, in an excellent location. The concierge cannot do enough for you from directions to online booking of return flights. The hotel is clean and comfortable. We had two rooms which were on the 3rd floor. The only draw back is that the air con is quite noisy when first put on, but does get quieter after a while. The hotel is quiet and the comings and goings of other guests is minimal. The location is just across from one of the entrances (Lexington Avenue) to Grand Central Station, which was great for commuting on the subway, which we found safe and convenient and also used the Dining Concourse and market regularly for breakfast. Would definitely recommend and use again.
“A lovely hotel, great location”
Stayed at The Fitzpatrick in July 2011. They were very welcoming and Garfield the Concierge was really helpful with advice. The room was lovely-plenty of space and very clean. I visited 6 different hotels during my trip to the U.S. and this hotel had the most comfortable bed. They even had a variety of differnt types of pillows so you could choose which was ideal for you-loved this as I'm fussy about my pillow! It's right near Grand Central Station so subway & taxis were easy to get. Highly recommended.
“Comfy & Convenient”
More comfortable than home! The very best bed I have ever slept in. Perfect after a day of walking around New York. Bathroom clean and stocked with quality towels and sundries. Convenient to local attractions such as the Empire State Building, NY Public Library, and even the Met. Polite and helpful staff.
“Beautiful Boutique Hotel in the Heart of Midtown East”
I just stayed two nights at the Fitzpatrick Grand Central. As someone who frequently stays in hotels in Manhattan, I have a handful that are my favorites. I am happy to report that the Fitzpatrick is my new favorite. This is a beautiful boutique hotel in a great area, right near Grand Central Station, lots of shopping, restaurants, and transportation. The staff is extremely helpful and nice, from the front desk to the housekeepers. The rooms are elegantly appointed with dark wooden furniture, high quality linens, cozy down comforters, and sleek marble bathrooms. Only negatives are $14.95 a day for Internet access, which is much higher than most hotels, and the fact that there is no ice or vending machine in the hotel (you can, however, get ice delivered to your room from the restaurant). The hotel's restaurant, a charming Irish pub called The Wheeltapper, is excellent. I had a party in the back area by the fireplace and the entire staff was terrific. The bar food is way above average, with standouts being terrific Buffalo wings, moist salmon skewers, and savory sirloin tidbits with mushrooms and gorgonzola. Between the hotel and pub, there is little reason to venture beyond the property to have a great time. I highly recommend the Fitzpatrick Grand Central for your next stay in Manhattan.
“Comfort in the Frey”
What a great surprise to find such a warm, comfortable, clean and friendly place to stay in the heart of the city. The room is cozy and had the gratest bed I have ever slept on in a hotel. The clientelle was international and the staff was ready to assist anyone in need. We had been stuck in the road closures from the wweather and our 9 hour trip took 18. The staff was supportive and considerate of our problem. They were Great!!!!! Our only problem was getting accurate directions from the concierge.
“Would definitely return”
Fabulous room with king size bed. Very well appointed bathroom and toiletries. Our room was extremely quite with no traffic noise. Staff very helpful and efficient. The location is excellent across the road from Grand Central Terminal and only walking distance from many of the Manhattan attractions. Definitely recommended.
“Great Find”
Loved the hotel very much, great room and atmosphere. Directly next to Grand Central and Subways. If you have a car however do not Valet Park it, it took more than an hour to get my car. The garage is not on site but a few bocks away and not owned by the Hotel.
“Incredible value and wonderful hotel in NYC.”
This hotel is fantastic! Convenient location, very pretty and charming, spotless, large room, and very nice and helpful staff. I would always stay at this hotel when visiting NYC!
“Exactly as reviewed”
My husband and I spent one night at the Grand Fiztpatrick Hotel. We decided on this hotel after reading reviews and seeing how much other people liked it. It was exactly what we hoped for: Clean and comfortable rooms, helpful staff and all at a great price. We will definetly be back and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the city, but not pay the price for the city.
