“The Travel Inn- a great ny hotel”
The Travel Inn is a hidden treasure in as sea of over priced hotels. It's great location, free parking and a swiming pool in the summer. Also a deli right next door.
“Clean and comfortable”
Upon our recent trip to Manhattan, we found the Travel Inn hotel affordable and clean. It was close enough to all of the sights that you could walk, yet it wasn't in the middle of all the noise and lights. I would definitely stay here again.
“Shower very small”
Ovewral very good
“Not fancy, but clean w/great location!”
And my total check in/out time was about 15 seconds, which is quite possibly a world record!
“Can't wait to return to this marvelous hotel!”
Wonderful hotel! Located on West 42nd Street, close to Times Square and many Manhattan Midtown points of interest. Good price for excellent quality. Nice outside view of the city from the rooms.
“Great NYC hotel!”
Reviews were right...great hotel to stay at. Close to Times Square and subways, safe/quiet area, great parking and FREE!!, friendly and accomodating staff (i.e. brought us lots of extra pillows and they let us stay parked until 5pm the day we were supposed to check out at noon), and the rooms were much nicer and larger than most in the city...but beds are quite stiff and the rooms do get pretty toasty but if you open the doors/window when you come in for the evening and close before you go to bed, we found it was just fine, and wireless internet didn't work as well in our room (north tower) but if you take your laptop to the lobby, it's just fine.
“Very happy with everything ... almost everything”
I'm very impressed, especially for the very reasonable price we paid. Walking distance to Broadway, shopping districts, restaurants ... and they let us check-in at 10am!! Thank you very much!! Not a big deal, but the only minor problem was the elevator, you can't tell from the button whether it's coming up or going down. But it won't stop me from staying there again.
“budget hotel in great location ......”
I found the hotel to be fab .. yes it's a little outdated .. yes there are't many hotel facilities.. but if you are looking for a well priced, very clean, excellently located hotel with no frills and large rooms (for NY Hotels) then I would highly recommend it .. we had the best experience from everyone from the housekeeping staff folding my daughter "blankie" into a cute shape ... through to reception keeping our car until 3pm on checkout so we could finish up the sightseeing ....... of and in their free Car park too ....
“Great experience”
This hotel exceeded all of our expectations. Rooms were clean, comfortable and we felt safe (right across the street from NYPD station). Arrived several hours before check in and we were able to park car and actually get into room early (also was able to leave car in garage for several hours after checkout). The free parking was great. Nice pool. Very close to theater district and just a couple of blocks from subway station. Couldn't ask for more. Unless you insist on four-star luxury, this is a great place to stay. The money you save could get you into another show.
“Heaven in Hell's Kitchen”
This is the second time we stayed here and I hope to stay here again the next time we visit Manhattan. The location is superb, close to Times Sq but not too close. We easily walked to our destinations Lincoln Center and NBC studios. If you are driving to NY and want to park your car during your stay like we did, this hotel offers FREE parking!
