I chose this property because of its proximity to all of the attractions Newport has to offer. Unfortunately, it rained the entire first two days of our visit. We did walk to places when possible but it was also extremely easy to get Ubers. Paws was extremely clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious every morning! I would recommend Paws as a great place to stay in Newport whether you bring a dog or not.

Breakfast each morning was great, we loved the latte machine! The parking was great. Our dog settled in nicely and even though it rained we had a lovely time!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Paws on Pelham. While it is very pet friendly and pet-themed, we did not have a pet with us but it was fun seeing the other four-legged visitors. Our room was well adorned and comfortable. Shower pressure not great but that is probably my only complaint. Location is super convenient to the water front area and to the Touro Synagogue. Parking was easy and free and located about a one or two minute walk up the street. Breakfast was good too. Not many options but the hot breakfast sandwich freshly prepared each morning was a tasty and filling way to start the day.

We love our 2 night stay at Paw on Pelham . We were on the 3rd floor which was tiring with all the luggage. The room was perfect for 3 adults (no dog) with 2 large beds, spacious modern bathroom. Breakfast was delicious. We loved that we could walk to shops & restaurants. We visited 2 mansions and did the cliff walk. We would stay again

We had a wonderful time at Paws on Pelham! It was nice to get a text from the staff and let me know the room was ready. The room was clean and perfect for our one night stay. The breakfast has been the best I’ve ever had at a hotel with free breakfast. I would recommend this to all of my friends.

What a special place to stay while in Newport! We didn’t bring our dog but we should have. Paws is located at the perfect spot, 5-7 minute walk to all the wharfs. Only about a mile to the cliff walk. The rooms were adorable and clean and the staff were lovely and very helpful. We can’t wait to come back with our dog Leonard.

Cute hotel, in great location with the only issue being the parking off site(inconvenient during rainy days)and lack of elevator which could be a problem if you have heavy luggage.

A True Gem
What a wonderful place! Antonio & Lisa were very gracious, informative, and friendly at our check-in. The room was large and very clean; you would never know they specialize in accepting pets to stay there. The llocation was great for exploring downtown Newport. I highly recommend a stay there!

Very nice place
We had a great stay at Paws on Pelham, it definitely had a sweet dog theme without being over the top. Our first time coming to Newport with our dog. The inn is close to the park and also walking distance to downtown. The breakfast was really delicious!

We loved our stay at Paws on Pelham. The building was well maintained and was located in a beautiful neighborhood that was excellent for walks around the area. The rooms were sparkling clean and well appointed. Lisa, who checked us in, was very friendly and offered us a lot of helpful information about the area. Tania was incredibly nice, sent us a welcome text before we even arrived and had our room ready early!! The inn is so quaint, charming and accommodating as well! Easy to check in, easy in and out each day, breakfast and the perfect amenities. Wine fridge, coffee and tea, creamers wine glasses & prosecco flutes well!! We've been to Newport 20 visits and stayed in about 10 different places, including the bigger hotels, but this was just an incredibly fun place to stay!

Property is really dirty. I understand it’s a dog friendly inn, but it’s not enough to spray a very strong deodorant and call it done. Intermingled smell of urine and deodorant gave me a headache the entire time . I paid for the most expensive room no 5 just to be comfortable . When we arrived AC in the room was broken and they replaced it with a portable unit which wasn’t cooling anything . The inn manager tried to convince me that this is it. It took a call to management company to give us a room with a working AC . The room was tiny and with 2 dogs it was really tight. The pressure in the bathroom was ridiculous. One can hardly brush their teeth. Parking is not at the premises as advertised but about 600-700ft up the hill at a rented space . In the past, I stayed at the inn across the street which was just stunning for the same price. Unfortunately they don’t accept dogs. To charge exorbitant amount of money for the accommodation that is worse than a hourly motel is unconscionable. We were given a partial refund to accommodate for the difference in price. Breakfast was ok although it was the same egg sandwich for 3 night we stayed there. All in all never again.
