The village pub does not do food, and the take away/ restaurants do not have good write ups. Recommend bringing a picnic. Breakfast was well cooked with local good quality ingredients. "

"Overall a lovely stay, fantastic spot right on the river front. Large family room was great and very spacious but could have been cleaner, lots of dust & cobwebs! Food was absolutely fantastic, we ate in the restaurant 3 evenings and every meal was excellent. We were well looked after and the staff were brilliant. Would recommend. "

"Received a very warm welcome from the owners and their adorable little dog. My room was beautifully furnished and had everything I could possibly need. I wish I could have stayed longer and explored more of my surroundings, but alas it was just a fleeting visit. I’d most definitely stay there again."

"Bar was busy when I arrived, with live music. Made to feel very welcome and shown to my room. Had a pint and then an early night. Will definitely stay again as need to try the food next time"

"The Hotel staff are amazing and very friendly, the room was spotless. The bathroom very small, fan was very noisy at night when you went to the toilet and the drains kicked up a stink in the morning when everyone started having a shower from other rooms. Shirt of plug sockets for a family room.where everyone wants to charge phones over night. Plenty of tea, coffee and hot chocolate. "

"The room was clesn and comfortable, housekeeping staff were very helpful especially helpful with my wife who was a bit off colour. The general quslity of catering was better than our last. Our last day breakfadt was goid however consistency needs to be maintained. Front of house staff work very hard, especially Nial, & Jenny. As a former auditor i would suggest a visit by a snag fixer and this place would be cracking. Small changes, massive differences."
