All the basics you need for a nice quiet stay. Front desk was a little slow but helped us right when we arrived and I really love the “no key” system they have. We walked around the area a bit also at night and in the day. Very safe place and gated parking was great. Beds are comfy and room itself while old, was clean and newly furnished. Hot water and working AC with a mini fridge. Super handy. Would stay again - only 3.6 miles from The Greek Theater!

Great affordable place near the heart of Oakland. Excellent security, Oakland is kind of a scary reputation. Comfortable, quiet, safe. Rooms are small, no breakfast but there’s a great place across the street, Brenda’s.

We arrived after 2am and were greeted quickly. Parking is secure, but space is limited and the spots are small. Still, we parked, showered, slept and left with no issues. There is no lobby, no breakfast, etc. Also, do not pull close to the gate when leaving. Stop at the sign.

If you like clean this may not be for you. The floor was really dirty and the mini coffee pot did not work. Ibwoke up with 3 bites on my neck and chest. The walls paper thin. You can hear everything and the ligjts from the corridor are always on, which is a good thing, but the cracks around the door make it look like its glowing. However, the pakeing is great and very secure. You meed to let in by a gate to check in and tobdrive youe car in as well.

Ok for the money
It is a confortable stay for the value. If you are particular about cleanliness it is probably not for you. They were very bive about it but please know rhat the parking spaces are limited. If you arrive too late you might hace to park on the street and that was stressful for me.

The location was great! Close proximity to public transportation and was a safe area. Great restaurants in the area too. Brenda's was Awesome! Burma Superstar wasn't far away. Only drawback was we felt the room could've been cleaner specifically the floors being swept/vacuumed better.

This is a cool old motel that has been updated. Unfortunately, the room was dirty and noisy. The gated parking is nice but very tight spaces if you dont have a compact car.

Poor Oakland
Grungy, dingy room condition. But striving. Place feels safe like a prison though. But I trust it is for a good reason. For this, the price point was too high. Pick a more established hotel for 10-40 bucks more.
