Mine wife and I stayed for 5 days in May of 2024.
Pros:
Beautiful beaches
Beautiful weather
Excellent, gracious staff (thanks Marvin!)
Great pool deck and outdoor bar. Live music was really good.
Voyager restaurant was fantastic. $$$$
Cons:
Room HVAC seemed to only have two conditions, warm and humid or cold and damp. Hard to find a happy medium. Asked for maintenance to check, made no difference.
Room furniture not comfortable. We had a rain day and the couch in our room was not comfortable for hanging out.
Walls/doors seemed paper thin. Heard everything the neighbors said.
Piano played in lobby each evening absurdly loud. I could hear the piano in the elevator six floors up. Could not enjoy the lobby bar at all. Maybe if you knew sign language….
Lunch or dinner meals at the bar or latitude 30 were hit or miss in terms of quality and very expensive for what you get. Not including breakfast, which was consistently good at latitude 30. Just $$$$. Pizza restaurant was good and reasonably priced. Coffee shop $$$$
Beach chair and umbrella rentals are ridiculously expensive. For what the room cost, these things should be included, just like beach towels.
A good stay if you want a great beach to walk or swim on. Bring your own chairs and umbrellas if you drive. Otherwise do what we did and hang out at the pool.
Don’t expect to walk anywhere except the beach. Not much to do walking from the resort. Restaurants walking distance from the resort are few and just average.
