My overall experience was disappointing. The staff was helpful but not pleasant. It always seemed that it was a bother to get help. One elevator was not operating, so at times it could take 10 - 15 minutes to get to your floor. Many of the guests learned to ride all the way up to go down to the lobby level. Only one bar was open in the evenings and many guests were around the pool but that bar closed at 7 PM. My view was supposed to be an ocean view and I was in a room overlooking a rusty roof with large, loud hvac fans blowing all night.

My wife and I have both stayed at RIU palaces before. This was by far the worst. Service was terrible. The staff are very matter of fact when it comes to answers. Room service for nachos took 2 hours. They kept running out of simple things like cups and juice for beverages. The app worked only half the time and getting reservations to the restaurant was a headache. The food. Ha!! Order a steak. Get ready cuz it’s going back a few times before they get the temp right. Crab cakes. Ha!! Imitation crab!! When you look at the menu and see the pics of the meals, think Of those advertisements where it looks gorgeous but then once you get it you’re like seriously!!! No robes in room. Forgot the welcome drink. It was my honeymoon. Asked if they could decorate our bed for us for when we got there. Nope. Took two days before they did it. I could go on and on but you get my point. Tons of little problems and a few extremely disappointing once.

Overall satisfied for the cost. The floor in our room stayed a little dirty, and had sand on it when we got there. The staff was wonderful! The food was good. Again overall satisfied, but definitely need work on that evening entertainment. The poolside entertainment was great, but evening was no so good.

I recently stayed at RIU Paradise Island, and it was an unforgettable experience. The resort's stunning beachfront location and top-notch amenities provided a perfect backdrop for a relaxing vacation. The rooms were spacious and well-maintained, offering breathtaking ocean views and all the comforts needed for a pleasant stay. One of the highlights of my visit was the exceptional service from the staff, particularly Ellenise and Tyler. Ellenise went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met, always greeting us with a warm smile and a genuine willingness to help. Tyler's attention to detail and prompt assistance made our dining experiences truly delightful. Their dedication to guest satisfaction greatly enhanced our stay and left a lasting impression. The resort's dining options were diverse and delicious, with various cuisines to satisfy every palate. The facilities, including the pool area and spa, were immaculate and provided ample opportunities for relaxation and enjoyment. Overall, RIU Paradise Island exceeded my expectations in every way, thanks in large part to the exemplary service provided by Ellenise and Tyler. I highly recommend this resort for anyone seeking a luxurious and memorable vacation.

Overall, it was a decent stay. It would’ve been nice to have a welcome drink like other resorts. I didn’t like they only had the jerk chicken restaurant only open for 3 hours and I didn’t like that the other restaurants didn’t have Bahama food inspired options. Lastly, I don’t like there is no ATM and if you took a cab to get there they won’t provide transportation to the airport.

We were downgraded day 1 from a junior ocean front suite to a deluxe ocean front and then the suite the next day for our 5 night stay. The rooms were excellent but the constant 24/7 industrial AC made the balcony facing the ocean useless. Primarily because the noise made an otherwise peaceful room a noisy one and it made it hard to relax. The extra money was not worth it. The tengoku sushi was not fresh but beyond that all the food and drinks were excellent. The bar tenders are generous and the entertainment was amazing. Krystal was our favorite with every item on the menu delighting the senses and the service impeccable. The front desk was kind and friendly and overall the guest service was excellent. The facilities are what don’t live up to the RIU name. The elevator waiting is terrible and one of the elevators broke down day 1 and was not fixed for the remainder of the week which made it a problem. My suggestion is to fix the AC situation. Landscape your hotel so that guests don’t have to look at the ugly Atlantis convention center building and fix the elevator and you will have a better hotel.step 1 though is get rid of the AC that makes non stop noise so that we can enjoy the beach. Maybe do portables in each room that way we decide when we want cool air and we can enjoy the soothing noise of the ocean.

This was a very relaxing and enjoyable vacation. The room and room service was excellent. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Just wake up and see the ocean out your own balcony. Then just walk down to a great selection of breakfast with very friendly waiters. Then just walk to the pool or beach, with people to help get your lounge chair and umbrella if needed. There are indoor bars and outdoor bars, even a pool bar! There is well stocked liquor in your room too. They have even entertainment and games for us to enjoy. Plenty of food, liquor, entertainment and relaxation all around. You can get a taxi to take you elsewhere on the island.you have to set up your own transportation, this was the only thing to be concerned about.
