“Very Central”
We wished to visit the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower. This was central to our needs. The fully equipped kitchen even had a dishwasher. Two good supermarkets very close (1 min walk).
“Close to Metro and Eiffel Tower”
Definately recommend hotel. It was being renovated but that was no problem. The room was in good condition, clean and had a nice little kitchen. We felt very welcome and comfortable there.
“Great apartment-style hotel with prime location.”
First off, this is not a regular hotel. It's more like an extended stay hotel for business travelers. The base rate does not include daily housekeeping. If you want it, you can pay a fee for it, but if you are not more of a slob when you travel then when you are at home, you should be fine. The location is amazing. It's on Rue St. Didier, and it's a short walk to the Trocadero and the Eiffel Tower. My wife and I walked around the tower every night. Convenient to several metro stations, and there is a grocery store across the street if you want to stock up on some food for your stay (I can't eat out for every meal or I feel terrible). Hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. There is a washing machine and dryer on the premises. You can have breakfast added to your bill (i think you can buy a breakfast plan), but there are so many restaurants nearby, you can hit those (or just buy some stuff and make it in your room). The room was in excellent shape. My wife is 6 months pregnant and was literally more comfortable in the fold-out bed than in our bed at home. It's not a futon, it's a very good fold out bed that does not feel like one when it is open. Close it up and you have a nice living room area. However don't expect housekeeping as part of the deal. You are not paying for it. Clean up after yourself and you'll be fine.
“The make up for the overbooking in was great”
Hotel at Trocadero was full, but we were sent to the one at Opera which was an upgrade for the same price. Most of the staff at the new place was great. There was one bad apple who could not ruin our stay.
“A Wonderful Week in Paris”
The hotel was in an excellent location--within an easy walk to the Eiffel Tower, 20 minutes to the Arc dre Triomphe, 5 minutes to the metro station, supermarket across the street. Trocadero is an upscale residential area and it is quite safe to walk wherever you want to go. Many services are conveniently located in the area. The front desk staff were very helpful. We arrived quite early in the morning and the hotel was fully booked the day before so no rooms were immediately available. We were given several good suggestions of things to do until a room was ready. They were efficient and knowledgeable. The room itself was small but the kitchenette was complete, even including a dishwasher. We found that we saved quite a bit of money eating breakfast and dinner in our room and having the mid-day meal out . The hotel does offer an adequate breakfast but 14 euros a person seemed a little expensive. The only negatives are that the bed was a bit firmer than I would choose, 2 light fixtures needed new bulbs, and street noises went on late into the night. We were there over a weekend and a major holiday so that may be expected. On other nights it was pretty quiet. My husband did mention to the hotel staff that people had been smoking on our floor and they seemed to slough it off. I did not notice any smoking or smells. I would definitely stay here again.
“great location”
very happy with location, cleanliness, friendly helpful staff. however, shower not working to well but not a big deal.
“Outstanding location”
My wife, our two kids and I have stayed at Citadines for five nights last April. The hotel is in a residencial zone. It was very nice wondering around watching the locals in their everyday tasks. Trocadeiro subway station is just three blocks away and the Eiffel Tower is a ten minutes walk from the hotel. By subway you can easily reach all points of interest. We felt very safe even walking late at night. The flat has a bedroom, a living room, a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with a separeted toilet. We could have stayed much longer because it was pretty confortable. You can buy groceries in the neighborhood with is much more convenient and cheaper than having all meals out. We felt realy like home. The housekeeping was only once a week. No big deal, we were living in Paris we could handle our own everyday mess. I definitly would stay there again.
“Good location for the cost.”
The hotel was well located, within about 15 minutes easy walking distance of the Arc de Triomphe one way and the Eiffel Tower and River Seine (boat trip stops) the other way. It was also near several metro stations, a supermarket at the other end of the road and many bars and cafes on the nearby Rue Kieber. It was a relatively quiet hotel considering its central location. It offered excellent value for money for its location. The apartments are clean and offer all basic amenities but no frills. The mattresses are a bit on the firm side, but after all the walking and step climbing we'd have slept on any thing! Our 2 bed apartment had no separate dining area, just a desk style table and one chair, so it meant eating in bed basically!
