“Would definately go back”
Although our hotel room itself was very small, the bathroom was oversized. The daily maid service kept everything sparkling. The mini bar provided a few options for a snack or beverage. The hotel was also conveniently located. Plenty of restaurants nearby and a Metro station within a 5 minute walk. We were on a quiet street and felt safe, even when returning late at night. The staff couldn't have been more friendly. Everyone spoke English and was eager to help us locate the tourist spots, find us a restaurant, etc. You could get a cup of coffee or juice in the morning and, although we didn't order, they even had room service. I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Paris.
“This was the perfect Paris Hotel for us”
As so many do, we scoured the reviews of all hotels and pricing, location, and any info we could find before making that fateful plunge and booking our hotel. We knew rooms would be small, knew we'd be lucky to get A/C, knew we wanted to at least try to blend in with the local scene while my wife and I went to Paris for 3 days and this hotel was the perfect find for us. Yes, the rooms are small, but they have A/C, they have an elevator, they have hot water, they have a great little breakfast in the mornings (read the fine print, they DO charge you for it!), the hotel staff spoke English and were SO helpful. The location was so convenient, near the Printemps shopping district (which we highly recommend), near the Metro (subway, which is so easy and wonderful to use), and we were in the heart of the Theatre District and the Bohemian Movement from the Follies Bergere days. Only inconvenience was when we checked out the last day the hotel had called a taxi for us to go to the Train Station and while we ate breakfast they failed to inform us the Taxi couldn't come - so I'm running through the streets trying to flag one down, none would stop, so we pulled our four roller bags (35-50 lbs. each) up and down the stairs in the subway and that was a pain for sure, but that was the only negative of this whole trip! We hit a home run with this hotel and were very pleased and would return no question.
“Perfect room for a vacation”
Yes, the hotel rooms were very small, but we had a full size bed, closet, desk, tv, fridge, and safe. What more do you need? The ceilings were also very low, but as we were on the top floor, we also had a skylight! The rooms and bathrooms had been recently updated, so nothing about the room seemed old. There is a great breakfast every morning with all types of food and juices. I think the chocolate croissants were my favorite. The front desk staff were very friendly and were willing to help us figure anything out. Overall, this hotel was a great find with a reasonable rate and had lots of character. I would definitely recommend it to others. As many have probably stated, this hotel is very close to the Grand Boulevards metro stop making it easy to get anywhere. Get the Paris Visit metro pass for zones 1-3 so you can enjoy all the sites in paris without walking for miles. You can purchase the pass right at the Grand Boulevard stop at the ticket window and get passes for however many days you will be there.
“Perfect Paris Hotel”
If you're looking for a decent hotel to stay in - this is the one for you! The rooms were fairly dinky but clean and comfortable. Beds were huge - dominating the room. Service was charming. Area was great with lots of little bistros, boulangeries and suchlike in the streets around the hotel. We'll be back.
“Great location, good clean room”
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were very helpful and spoke good English. The room, whilst small, was clean and the bathroom was nice. Beds were comfortable. The only criticism is that, as other reviewers have attested, the aircon is terrible. In mid summer, with the temp at 35 degrees, it's cooler to open a window than use the aircon. Hotel is in a great location - close to Grands Boulevards metro., plenty of good, cheap bars, cafes and restaurants close by. I'd recommend this hotel.
“Great little hotel!”
Very pleaseant stay. Charming hotel. We were on the top floor. It was amazing how much they packed into such a small room.
“Perfect for Paris”
The Pavillon Opera Grands Boulevards is located in the 9th arrondissment and is literally steps away from the Folies Bergere. The location is ideal for people who want to explore the city on foot or by hopping on a Metro. The nearest metro stop is Grands Boulevards. The hotel itself is lovely. Artful touches everywhere and a friendly staff, most of whom speak English. The breakfast that the hotel provides is rather expensive, but there is a lovely bakery just on the corner and a friendly cafe right across the street from the bakery. I felt safe the entire time I was there, even coming back to the hotel late at night. I'd definitely stay here again and I've already recommended it to friends who are planning trips to Paris.
“Good value”
The room was small as expected in Europe. It was clean and well maintained. The staff was excellent. They were very helpfull and very pleasant. Bring your own bathing items. They only supply shampoo and a bar of soap. They also do not have wash cloths. It was very nice for a 3 star hotel.
“Satisfactory”
I stayed at this hotel in January 2011. I was satisfied with the service the hotel staff provided.
“value for money”
