“Spring in Paris”
Hotel fine. Map showed it close to Cadet Metro station - actually quicker to walk direct from Paris Nord. Only complaint - the weather - but then you can't blame British Raid for that (the Eurostar crossing was great).
“Comfortable, Convenient and Courteous”
We were really pleased with the comfort, cleanliness and convenient location of the hotel. The staff was friendly, helpful and very courteous. The continental breakfast was a treat. We really enjoyed our stay and would choose the Hotel Sylvia Opera if we have an opportunity to return to Paris in the future.
“A Cozy Nest to Rest from Jet Lag”
This charming hotel was well situated. It is surrounded by stores, bakeries, post office, churches, schools, restaurants, produce markets, train and bus stops at Place Pigalle and Montmartre. This hotel is cute and clean. We arrived 5 hours before check-in but were checked into our room as the clerk said he knew we must be very tired. The room was clean and very quiet. The staff is very polite and helpful. We would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone and will definitely stay there again. We were very pleased.
“My favorite Paris, Fr. hotel.....”
The hotel location is just about PERFECT, the hotel was great... I found the staff to be helpful. And the hotel location near just about everything. I have no complaints... I liked the hotel so much, I stayed an extra week.... and looking forward to booking again for my return to Paris.... One recommendation bring a GPS with you, then you will find so much more than looking things up on a paper map... Also bring some seriously comfortable walking shoes...
“Paris on a Budget”
The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. The desk clerks spoke English fluently and were very helpful in recommending buses, restaurants and giving general information. They helped arrange a shuttle to the airport that was very hassel free. The breakfast each morning was brioches and bagettes with coffee and cocoa. Not a huge selection of food, but nicely done, and waited by staff. For the price it was a great hotel, and very friendly. I would definitely use this hotel on my return trips to Paris! It is also very easy to get to (not by cab) but has easy access to buses and the metro, and is in a good neighborhood.
“Good impression”
very good service, very clean and value for money. situated at a convenient location along a quiet street.
“Perfectly adequate”
This is entirely suitable for a few days in Paris. There are no metro stations, tourist attractions or superior restaurants on its immediate doorstep, but a 10 or 15 minutes' walk should get you to several. My room had just about the smallest bathroom I've ever encountered. I couldn't run the shower at full volume, for fear of overflowing the shower tray. My room was at the back, overlooking a deserted courtyard, so there was no traffic noise; but unfortunately it was also right next to the lift, so there was some disturbance from people coming back to their rooms late. But, all-in-all I think this hotel is good value for money.
“Perfect for small budget”
The hotel was great - nice small place - the building is located across from the former residence of the famous composer Georges Bezet - pretty cool. Breakfast was nice, rooms clean. Good deal for the price
“Good for the money”
We found this hotel more than acceptable and a great deal. It was one of the cheapest we found on expedia that wasn't out of town. The room was pretty small but it was clean and more than adequate. The bathroom was small but it had recently been renovated and was kept neat and well stocked. There was no air conditioning but leaving the window open while sleeping allowed a nice breeze in. Of course, this also allowed for any street noise to travel up. Streets are very narrow in Paris with tall building lining the streets so any conversation or car traveling by echoed up into the room. There is a great little bakery across the street from the hotel and a grocery store and post office just a block away. Moulin Rouge and those sights are only a few blocks away but the hotel's area stays quite at night. The included breakfast surpassed our expectations and all the staff was very friendly and accomodating. We would definately stay here again!
“basic but good if that's what you want”
good position, 5 minute walk from nearest metro (Cadet), clean, friendly. Room was sparsely furnished but comfortable enough; bed, bedside tables, toilet, shower, towels, hairdrier, shower gel, soap, TV. If you want ant more than that you need to go for a more upmarket place, but this was what we wanted.
