“Great hotel, great price”
I was really amazed with this hotel, i didn't know what to expect from picking a hotel online but i was very impressed with this one. Its in a good location away from the tons of tourists and close to the metro so you can still get all the sites. This hotel had great service, they helped us with anything and the rooms were very comfortable and decorated very nicely. The whole hotel gave us a very warm comfortable feeling, very beautiful, even better then the pictures. I recomend this hotel to everyone.
“Excellent hotel, Very reasonable price through Expedia”
We found little fault with the hotel, other than that the beds have blankets not duvets. The standard rooms are relatively small but are very comfortably furnished and the bathroom was very reasonably sized with a powerful shower over the full-sized bath. The hotel has lovely features, and the lift is especially interesting! Located in a quiet area with wide tree-lined streets, we saw a couple of homeless people but, as in the rest of Paris, they did not bother us at all. There are lovely little gardens directly opposite the hotel and a well-stocked supermarket is just round the corner, a bigger supermarket, Monoprix, is right from Rue Jenner and then on the left side of the street, opposite St Marcel metro. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, the metro takes you anywhere to more central Paris. This was my fourth time in Paris and previously we have chosen to stay more centrally - near Saint Germain - but such centrality is not worth the prices. Indeed the hotel is hardly on the outskirts anyway! Notre Dame is only a 30 minutes walk away and Jardin des Plantes is a 10 minuts walk away - although disappointing when considering the Tulliries and Jardin des Luxembourg. Through Expedia this is a very well-priced hotel, and you will save much off the rack rate. If you intend to have breakfast every morning then book through Expedia - it is approximately a third cheaper than paying for each day at the hotel. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.
“Quiet and Excellent Location”
Rooms were clean, quiet, and staff very helpful. Easy access to metro.
“Stylish, clean and friendly!”
We stayed here twice during a recent trip to France, mainly because it is within walking distance of the Gare d'Austerlitz and because it is off the beaten path. The hotel is small, with a young and friendly staff (the young woman who works most days is especially cordial). The rooms are very clean. They are small, true, and when our stay involved four nights we upgraded to a junior suite, which was worth every additional euro. Our only complaint was that for a hotel based on the theme of books and literature, there were no good reading lamps in the rooms. After a day of walking and buying books at Shakespeare & Co., we wanted to relax by reading.
“Good Hotel Stay there for 5 days”
The neighborhood is not that great but is within a block from the metro. The rooms are in fact soundproof. The staff is friendly and helpful. They supply your room with qtips, bodywash, shampoo and conditioner. I really reccomend this hotel.
“Great little hotel with French charm.”
If you are looking for a cozy 'out of the ordinary' hotel in Paris, I would strongly recommend this hotel. The rooms are immaculate and air-conditioned. The hotel is one block from the train station and has 5 good ethnic restaurants around it --including Chinese, 2 Indian restaurants, a Pizzeria, and a Kobob house. There is also a laundromat next to the hotel for extended stays. I have stayed here twice and have enjoyed both visits.
“A Gem in the 13th”
Terrific Hotel, the common areas are very beautiful and our room was lovely. The location is ideal, a short walk (past a very good patisserier) to the Campo-Formio metro stop or a slightly longer walk to Place d'Italie.
“Great little hotel”
Rooms are small but cozy and there is a nice little supermarket for all your little needs.
“Nice Contempary Hotel”
It was a very pleasant stay. Staff were very friendly.
“I'd like to go back again.”
Overall, very happy with our stay. The concierge at the reception desk (Sultana)was her name, had been extremely helpful in providing us with a good tour operator in going to Versailles and our shuttle service to the airport. She also pointed out to us that we could walk along the Left Bank of the River Seine to go to the Notre Dame Cathedral. And it was a such a breeze to have done so. We really enjoyed it. hf
