“Villa Montsouris”
The only complaint is that the room was too small for comfort.
“Yes, But”
Hotel was conveniently close to my daughter at Cite Universite dorms. The area was a short RER train ride to the center of Paris. Decent Indian restaurant a block away.. Room was definitely small, but clean and comfortable with a middle eastern flair. noise was minimal to non-existent. My only negative was the necessity to go to the lobby for wireless access. Ethernet or wireless in the room would be preferable. I didn't think it would matter, but after a cold day in Versailles. it was nice to have a bathtub instead of a shower stall.
“Not bad actually”
Very quiet neighbourhood, but on a good underground line and close to the tube station. Very small rooms and the aircon didn't work, but nicely decorated and perfect for what we needed it for - to rest from all the walking.
“Was perfect place for us”
We were very fortunate to find this hotel. it is just a short walk from from 2 train stations. There are plenty of patisseries and and brasseries nearby for food. There is also a grocery store a block away plus several fruit and vegetable stands. The hotel is very clean and the workers are kind and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. The room was very small but we did not spend a lot of time in it. The bathroom was good; the water pressure excellent in the shower.
“Its no great shakes”
The hotel is trying to be a palace, but its fitted into a cottage. Its very small and claustrophobic. Dinning room under ground, with no natural light. The hotel was clean and the staff were very nice. There is no bar in the hotel and no sitting areas except in a very small foyer. Its quite convenient to the metro, but its the last stop on the line. Its takes about half an hour to get to the centre of Paris.
“I don't think i'll return”
The evening concierge and manager were extremely helpful. Talking w/ the manager was extremely delightful and pleasant. As a first time visitor to France that was certainly welcomed. The breakfast service downstairs was limited and expensive. The food staff was not courteous, unfortunately it was a Sunday and we had very few options for food. The decor in the lobby was overdone. I guess it's a Parisian characteristic but the room and bathroom was really small, i felt really closed in. i was very disappointed but glad for a place tp stay.
“Adorable”
This hotel has a lot of charm. Each room is named and there are stars on the ceiling of the hotel lobby! It's quirky and cute. My room was a bit small, but still very comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is on a quite street in Montparnesse, but just a few blocks away from the all the action.
“Hotel Montsouris - Paris”
Hotel good enough but rooms probably the smallest I've ever stayed in!!
“Good for the price, but..”
For us, this option was one of the cheapest options available in Paris and for the price it was a great deal. It is located a bit out of the way (the very southern-most part of Paris) but it is in a nice area with small shops and bakeries, is close to a bus stop and about a 10 minute walk to the nearest metro stop. No internet in the room but wifi was available in the lobby. As is typical in Paris, the room is very small but we were still comfortable and have no complaints about the size. Room was cleaned every day, TV was small but good quality and there was a mini fridge in the room as well. BUT - don't expect to sleep in here... the doors are noisy to unlock and don't block out much noise (so you hear everyone trying to get into their rooms). Otherwise it's pretty quiet. Also, cleaning staff started cleaning the rooms at around 8:30 one morning (we could hear them opening the doors) and made it to our room by 9:10... we were awake since we heard them coming and were on our way out but would have preferred to recover from our jet lag with an hour more of sleep. There was also a separate service staff that came around later in the day (not sure what for) and in all we were walked in on 3 times (in 4 days) since there was no way to stop them from just coming into the room. In all, I don't regret staying there but if I were to go back and there was another comparable option (price/quality) I would most likely try somewhere else next time.
