This is really a 3 star review, as the hotel was no more than quite nice. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. The pool is quite small and next to the road (quite noisy). The room was not very practical. There was nowhere to put the suitcases and the bed was in the middle of the room. The bath was a disgrace with loads of mould and only a shower head, installed very low; also no bath curtain to keep the water in. There was a window looking into the bathroom. There were material blinds installed which got wet. Doors to the balcony didn't close properly. Despite the local construction work, the room was not too noisy and we slept quite well however the air condition unit was old and noisy. Breakfast was in the pleasant open lobby. The food was ok. For the price i think you can get a better hotel.

This is a former mansion and the rooms were decorated with beautiful antique furniture. The bathroom had been updated sometime after the rooms and was unusual, but basically functional. The staff, breakfast, pool, and location were all excellent.

Great to be in a regular neighborhood that's still very accessible by tuktuk to everything you want to see. Lovely breakfast. FYI pool is for soaking and splashing around, not laps (too small). Great design and very nice staff.

Everything was just “okay.” Tiny restaurant with limited menu and okay food. Staff was nice but compared to other hotel staff in Cambodia, they needed a lot of help with their English. Sometimes communication was very frustrating. Normally I wouldn’t complain about lack of English skills in a foreign country, but in the tourism industry in Cambodia, good English has become commonplace and essential. The pool was super small and awkwardly placed. Rooms were okay but terribly uncomfortable beds. Location was also weird. Tuk tuk drivers always had a hard time finding it!

Dear Linasissy, Thank you for choosing to stay with us. We regret that you had some issues. We are a 12 room boutique hotel so we must provide services in proportion to our size. Despite that our guests are usually quite happy with our restaurant and rarely complain about the size of the pool. Perhaps you wanted to do laps. For those that need an olympic size pool, we recommend the Olymic stadium which is closeby. The location is quite close to the Royal Palace, a popular tourist venue, so most guests find our location quite convenient. In our experience, tuktuk drivers have no problem finding us as they all use Google maps which guides them to our hotel. Perhaps, he was trying to cheat you. We are sorry that you didnt like our beds. Normal guests are very satisfied with our beds and we do not understand why the bed was uncomfortable for you. We do apologise regards staff English skills. We do have some new staff, who are learning fast and gaining confidence. Staff shortages and lack of adequate education are constant challenges. Best regards,

Another great stay at VMansion
It was a pleasure to stay at VMansions again, the last time being in 2018. Nothing has really changed, the rooms are spacious and clean, the staff polite, efficient and accommodating and the food good. The only problem for me is getting back late as I always have to wake up the guy on the door. Not really a problem, possibly it’s just me. Thoroughly recommended!

Excellent Boutique Hotel
This is the third d time that I’ve stayed at the VMansion and it was once again a very pleasant experience. The rooms are clean and well maintained, the restaurant serves a good breakfast and I’m told does other good meals. I don’t know, I usually eat out with friends when I’m in town. Perhaps I’ll invite them around next time. The staff are polite and efficient, helping in any way they can. If there’s a downside, it’s probably my fault as I usually get back late and have to wake up the night staff. But it shows that the hotel is secure, too. Ideal place for anything that you want to see. And I in Phnom Penh.

I loved the stairs!! Our room had a gorgeous little balcony overlooking the street. Breakfast was a 5 course meal which was a welcome change from a buffet and the staff at reception went out of their way to help us. I would definitely stay there again!!

We don't have anything negative to say about this hotel. The staff recognised us and welcomed us before we even stepped out of the tuk-tuk. Check-in was smooth and luggage transferred to our room without me even noticing it. The front office staff also ably assisted us with a half day tour and organised our outgoing transfer. We dined at the restaurant and I heartily recommend the steak. There were plenty of vegetables too (not the usual quarter carrot and three pieces of green bean that you get at other restaurants). The room was exactly as per the hotel website and Expedia descriptions. I particularly liked the cultural decor and terrazzo bathtub. I should also mention the location; 8 minutes by tuktuk from central Phnom Penh and a "hop, skip and jump" from the Royal Palace. Highly recommended.

A real gem in the heart of Phnom Penh. Young staff were lovely 😊 always smiling and happy to help. Lovely modern,yet traditional rooms. All in all a great experience, and would highly recommend. near to the central market and short tuk tuk ride to anywhere else.

We were very happy with the reception staff at VMansion. They organised a driver from the airport and were quick to address a concern we had with the room ( a mouldy smell possibly because it was on the ground floor surrounded by plants) by offering us a family room on the second floor. The dinner we had here was authentic in flavour but not outstanding. The room we were moved to was quiet. The bathroom was a little basic but perfectly acceptable. Overall a reasonable option for a short stay like ours (2 nights).

Nice oasis in Phnom Pehn
We stayed here before and after going to Siem Riep and were incredibly happy! The staff was so helpful coordinating transportation for us, and a couple of tours. The tuk tuk drivers that work with the hotel are great and trustworthy. They even helped my husband find a cyclo for a quick city tour. :) The rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast was also very nice. There were a couple of options to choose from, and all that we had were filling and delicious. Although we didn't use the pool, we saw them cleaning it often and it looked beautiful. Location is great, and many places are walkable or only a quick tuk tuk ride away.

We received a free up grade to a suite, it had a small balcony where we had cocktails and dinner. I loved the internal timber staircase. The bed was comfortable and the room was well appointed.

Upon checking in, there were 3 little lizards inside the room, crawling around. I immediately checked out and made a note of this. At that point, the hotel staff did offer another room, however I did not trust the cleanliness. The hotel staff was implying that there were no lizards effectively calling me a liar. No refund was given. No transportation was paid for to another hotel. Overall a terrible experience. Management was also unsympathetic in the email exchange as well too. There are better hotels for the price nearby, namely Lumiere hotel and Aruneas Hotel. Will never stay at Vmansion nor recommend this property to anyone I know.

Dear Mr Ray, We regret that you found some of Cambodias charming 5cm long geckos in your room. The only thing that is unusual about this, is finding three at one time. This is a very rare occurrence, especially since the rooms contain nothing that they can eat. You are indeed lucky. Normally one of these harmless critters comes in when guests leave the balcony doors open. South East Asia is fully of them although they are hard to spot as they move with lightening speed into recesses and crevices whenever humans are around. They are extremely shy and can easily move around walls and ceilings. It is very unlikely that any Cambodian house, hotel or apartment does not have one or two hiding in light fittings, in air-conditioning units, at the back of drawers, and other inaccessible places. Opening doors and windows also lets other creatures come inside too, e.g. mosquitoes. We assure you that all reasonable measures are taken before guest check-in to ensure the rooms are scrupulously clean and free of fauna. Thank and best regards, Seanghoeurn, Sales Managers,

The Girls Trip
Hello, We stayed for 4 days on a vacation. Allow me to state the good and can be improved factors: 1) There were lizards in the room 😣 2) We got almost robbed by a guy on a bike 😣 3) Bed frame was dusty, looks like it hasn't been cleaned for a long time 😣 4) Rain shower was Awesome 😀 5) Breakfast felt home made 😀 6) Reception personnels are helpful 😀 7) Transportation is readily available 😀 8) The safe is apparently a little complicated 😣 9) All rooms are carefully thought out, some patios are smaller than the rest ☺ 10) Worth the price! 😁

Away from the fray but still walking distance (10-15mins) to the National Museum and Palace and Central Market. Staff were oh so kind, always cheerful and many with cheeky senses of humour. It was a delight coming home each day.

Hotel stay
This little boutique hotel is nestled away off a very ordinary street. The hotel is small but offers a small dining room and a nice little pool area. The bedroom we stayed in had a balcony. The rooms were big and spacious and had a nice bathroom with rain shower. 10-15 minute walk from most tourist areas.

Lovely little gem
The VMANSION Boutique Hotel is a wonderful little hotel! We stayed for 3 nights in Phnom Penh, and booked two rooms. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and we got to see familiar faces every day during our visit. They couldn't resist giving us tips on sights and arranging transportation. Breakfast every morning was a treat. The pool gave an ambience of a secret retreat in the middle of a bustling city. The rooms were large and attractively decorated. One room had a very comfortable extra day bed for our young son, who enjoyed it immensely. The bathrooms and showers are amazing, the most beautifully appointed we've ever seen, although the hot water runs out quickly -- possibly not the fault of the hotel, but we never found out. We would love to go back to Phnom Penh and stay again at the VMANSION Boutique.

Lovely oasis in a hot city
Lovely ambiance and thoughtful, genuine staff. They even invited us to their Christmas party! Every room is uniquely decorated. The pool was wonderful to dive into after walking around the city. Thoroughly recommended!

Great hotel
Amazing staff, good size room with very effective air conditioning and a delicious on site restaurant. No elevator and I stayed on the top floor, but it afforded a great view and thankfully I only travel with a backpack. Great price as well compared to other hotels of this quality that I looked at in Phnom Penh.

Nice location and excellent staff
The hotel is very nice, well located, staff is very friendly and try to accommodate your needs. The issue was that the bed sheets were not clean. We noticed it at 10pm, when we went to bed. The staff promptly change the stained sheets.

French Griswolds loud and noisy,spoilt my stay.
Not the best experience,had the French Griswolds family screaming and shouting in the pool and nearby room so found it hard to relax,got ripped off by booked Tuk Tuk driver of hotel to drive me to recommended money changer. Lovely breakfast.

Dear Anthony, Thank you for your comment, we always appreciate to have feedback from our guest. However i would like to clarify some point of your comment. Concerning the "french griswolds", they stayed only one night with us arriving around 4pm, staying one hour at the pool and living the next day at 8am so i am not sure they disturb you that much as you stay 3 days and 2 nights with us. Moreover, concerning the "story" with the tuktuk driver. Checking with him after i heard about this story. He told you the cost since the beginning and add only one dollars extra to bring you to another final destination who changed in the way. And i don't understand why you give him more than one dollars tips if you were not happy about the price... A great place to stay
VMANSION Boutique Hotel is truly a great place to stay. The rooms are not only new but much larger than other hotel rooms in the same price range in Phnom Penh. Everything is just a short Tuk-Tuk ride away (AEON mall, river-side, NagaWorld) but the area is away from dust, noise and busy streets. If you want to relax, don't look further!
