“Great for Couples”
I booked this hotel because I thought that it would be an interesting experience. The hotel was very beautiful (theres actually two boats) and the restaurant was very nice. Our room was at European normal the bathroom was REALLY small but we only stayed one night so it didnt matter (though every time that I flushed the toilet or took a shower I felt like I was waking the whole hotel). The BOTEL (what they called in Prague) did not rock with the waves which is something I was concerned about. The best part of the hotel was the service. We couldnt check in until late because we actually had a hard time finding the hotel.Because it was a boat it could only give us the street it was located off of and that street ran between two bridges. Well if you have the smart idea like my husband and I to drive along the river until you find it youre out of luck because the road was under construction and you cant see the botel from the road :) But they were really nice and understanding and the restaurant was closing and they still allowed us to order food. The continental breakfast was great and when I saw some brochures for tours you could book the tour right there at the front desk!! It was incredible. Also you can park in front of the hotel which is awesome because parking is actually IMPOSSIBLE to find and if you do find it its probably a trick because you have to have a pass to park there. And youll get towed. All around amazing food, service, and hotel. Cant wait to go back!
“Very different way to stay in Prague - Wonderful”
Yes the room was compact but it had everything you needed - have been in smaller hotel rooms. Room done out to a very high standard Loved feeding the ducks and swans straight out of the porthole windows. Considering that we went in Dec and it was cold the Botel was wonderful, warm and cosy. Staff were very helpful and food was great in the restaurant. Highly recommended
“Highly recommended, was sorry to leave”
The Boat Hotel Matylda was a lovely place to stay. We went to Prague to celebrate my 30th birthday. The hotel had lots of character and was well maintained. The restaurant on the boat served delicious food and the staff were very welcoming. The hotel staff were very friendly and helped us out when we couldn't get through to reserve our transfer back to the airport. I couldn't fault anything with this accommodation, I was actually sad to leave but would definitely recommend here to anybody.
“One of a kind!”
A must if you visit Prague! a huge old boat completely refurbished. Excellent food, a few minutes from everything you there is to see in Prague. One bridge away from the embassy and scholar district and two block from the medival center. Simply the best I´ve known in Prague and I´ve been there 6 times.
“Can't wait to go back”
Delightful hotel very conveniently situated. Staff extremely helpful.
“Picturesque Prague”
What a fantastic experience! Not only was the Boat Hotel one of the coolest places I've stayed, the surroundings could not have been any more picturesque. If you are a nature person, so cool to see the swans and ducks right outside your window each morning. Would recommend to anyone. Great location.
“Excellent hotel and excellent restaurant.”
I can highly recommend this hotel. We stayed in the junior suite which was very good value for money. Very spacious room which is designed to look like the captains room on a ship. Complete with sofa, coffee table and writing desk. Worth visiting prague just to relax here. Restaurant served very good food, all dishes were well prepared, good choice of wine and cocktails, excellant desserts. All staff were friendly, helpful and accomadating.
“five stars *****”
Boat Hotel Matylda was my dream come true. I had a quiet, clean room that served as a refuge when I needed it from the tourist crowds. It's in a location that was in the center of everything: all the bridges, all the restaurants and shops and museums. Be sure to rent a bike and follow the bike path out of town: you'll love the country side. The daily brunch was delicious. The staff was knowledgeable and very helpful. I stayed a week and loved it...you will too.
“Botel Matylda”
Fantastic experience, highly recomend it! The only downside is that our room was a little small, but don't let this put you off. Close to trams, metro and buses, the hotel food is quite good and reasonably priced. But there are loads of places to eat in Prague, in fact you're never more than 5 minutes from somewhere to eat.
“Prague's Best Short Stay Hotel”
Very pleasantly surprised at the quality of this hotel and the service offered. Whilst the rooms are not big, they are more than adequate for sort stays in this beautiful city. The location is a very easy walking distance to many of Prague's best features, and I would have no hesitation in staying there again and would certainly recommend to others.
