“Would go again....definitely”
This hotel is well located being about 500 meters from the centre of town (This is a good thing because town is rather busy and can be noisy) It is up a very short steep hill which gives it an elevated position with beautiful views. It has a rustic / alpine decor which we found very pleasant and agreeable in this location of Queenstown. Some of the upper floor rooms have small "attic" style windows, but not all, so request a room with a larger window if possible.
“Delightful stay”
We stayed in a suite the first three nights and then in a lake view king room the last - the suite was AMAZING! The view was stunning - from our balcony we ould see out to the remarkables and across the lake. The staff were on the whole very friendly and helpful and the buffet breakfast in the morning was delicious! Free range eggs and organic tomatoes! Would strongly recommend to anyone visiting queenstown! If travelling with kids though the king size room would feel a bit small. Great view from the bed though!
“One of the best stays we've had!”
Outstanding! Service was exceptional, everyone made you feel like it was a joy to have you stay. Views were breathtaking. Food was great and they created little value adds like an option to prepare a takeaway lunch etc. Rooms/suites were just lovely too especially the feather/down underlays on the beds, but to top it all off was the outdoor hot tubs. They were great to relax in after a busy day and gaze at the stars - again they thought of everything like providing extra towels outside in case you hadn't. Location was an easy 4 minute walk to waterfront and beginning of shopping/bars/resturants. Would absolutely recommend to couples looking for a break away. Just loved it!
“Single traveller”
The location was fantastic but the best part was the view! Waking up every day with the sunrise just over the mountains and it almost felt like the clouds were going to come into your room! Amazing, comfy beds and very nice staff.
“Immaculate and stylish”
The room was gorgeous, the hotel staff were unfailingly friendly. We had excellent room service and the extra amenities like two guest laundries were just we needed at this point of our holiday. By the way: it's only a 4 or 5-minute walk to the centre of town, but the path directly adjacent to the hotel is quite steep. I'm out of shape and found it find, but just keep it in mind if you're not a strong walker.
“Excellent views (from our room) and great location”
An enjoyable experience. Excellent service (which is NOT always the case in the New Zealand service industry), nice decor and a fun restaurant & bar. The only improvement area would be a slightly more knowledgeable concierge (about local restaurants).
“fantastic hotel experience!”
the hotel was fantastic and very reasonable. the staff were the most helpful and friendly. the concierge services were outstanding. the only thing that many of the hotels do is charge for internet use by the minute! they should have a nominal charge for use, but not by the minute. location was only 3 blocks outside the very center of town. just far enough to be quiet when desired. rooms very well appointed, get the lake view. hotel in general very beautiful.
“Wonderful Staff”
The staff at this hotel was extremely helpful and friendly. They arranged flights and cruises into Milford and Doubtful Sounds for us. We were upgraded to a suite and it was very comfortable. It's an easy walk to downtown and the breakfast bufffet was delicious and the view superb!
“Excellent accomodation”
Although the view was of concrete it was extremely clean, comfortable, accomodating to my requests and convenient.
