“Great location and happy Hour but small rooms”
A typical Rydges hotel and everything you would expect. We stayed 3 nights April 2011: booked Superior Room and was upgraded to Deluxe, probably due to high number of tourist buses that use the hotel needing all the lower accommodation levels.. Bar staff and service excellent: highly recommend Indigo Bar for Happy Hour! Restaurant equally good with nice meals. Breakfast is hectic! During our stay up to 4 bus loads of tourists decend like vultures! Otherwise breakfast OK: thought it too pricy but we had it included in our package. Very quiet at night and had no problems. Just wished room was a bit bigger and had a small table and a couple of chairs. Balcony also built for hobbits!
“Great place, great view”
Great view of the lake, easy walking access to downtown and attractions, nice pool and spa, good restaurant and happy hour in the bar. We would stay here again.
“very much impressed, was great”

“A good place to stay”
The hotel was centrally located (200m from centre of town) we had fantastic views of the lake and the Remarkables. The hotel staff were helpful and the food was very good. The only downside was there was no paper to the room in the morning.
“wonderful view from hotel and great location”
we really enjoyed our stay here and the price was right. Very nice staff and helpful. A great location as well within walking distance to restarants, shopping, night clubs, attractions, etc. a beautiful spot on the lake with park like walk right in front.
“Best Hotel I've Stayed in”
I spent 10 nights at this hotel and loved everything about it. The staff were fantastic and made me feel at home. I couldn't believe the quality of the hotel for the price and I had a huge balcony overlooking the lake and mountains. I was away for a month and this is where all my best memories are from. A 5 minute walk by the lake into the heart of Queenstown and a great atmosphere. What more can I say..LOVED IT
“Nice place.”
We really liked our stay at Rydges. We could walk to town and we had a very nice view of the lake from our room. They had a nice bar and restaurant. Breakfast was included with our room and it was very nice. We would (will) stay there again if we ever return to Queenstown.
“Beautiful Queenstown”
Booked this hotel as a surprise for a friend's birthday, without really knowing what to expect. It far exceeded my expectations. Defintley try to get a room with a lake view, the secenery is breathtaking especially when the sun is setting. The rooms are comfortable and clean, room service is efficient, friendly and helpful staff, lovely bar. I would defintley return.
“Was a great hotel”
Hotel was in a good location - easy walking distance to town but yet not in the middle of all the action. It made for a relaxing and enjoyable stay while in Queenstown.
“Terrific location”
Stayed 5 nights at this hotel with family. The views were stunning, great location, close to CBD, transport etc. Service/staff were great. Will be returning for another stay in the future.
