“Good basic hotel for price”
I was extremely pleased with this hotel. It was clean, in a good situation, had plenty of hot water and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was basic but had a good ensuite bathroom. There was wi fi throughout the hotel and although I did not use it the room had TV. Breakfast was included and was good and the staff were flexible about likes and dislikes. For the price it was an excellent choice and I would happily stay there again.
“Helpful young owner adds to hotel's charm”
Hotel Andino is a small, quiet hotel family run hotel in a great location. It is close enough to the commercial area and buses as well as the backpacker area around Foch square. The best feature of the hotel is the helpfulness of the attentive young owner, Miguel, who greets guest every morning and is very personable. The breakfast is excellent with a wide choice of food and served with a lovely personal touch. We stayed three night here when we first arrived in Quito and have returned for another three after our trip to Otavalo. Miguel stored our bags and arranged for transportation with Patricio for us and another couple. It is like having a private tour service if you want to take advantage of it. For the price and the breakfast I consider this hotel great value.
“Super quiet hotel”
Great location a block and a half from bus lines, close to the Mariscal. Room was clean, quet and comfortable. Staff was gracious and helpful. The breakfast was basic, but included in the price. Free wifi. what more could you need? Definately will stay again on my next trip through Quito.
“Great place to stay in Quito”
We were picked up from the airport as arranged and delivered right to the front door. Our host, Miguel, was endlessly patient and helpful with helping us decide what to do and where to eat. His English is great. He also arranged for us to have a driver/guide on our second day who was a wonderful addition to our trip. Breakfast was delicious and made to suit our schedule. Delightful staff and good location - highly recommend!
“Cheap Alternative to nearby Swissotel”
Hotel Andino is a quaint small hotel with very clean comfortable rooms, a pleasant staff. it is located 2.5 blocks from the Swissotel where I had a conference. While not all of the amenities it is 1/10 the price. Includes wifi (needed to reset modem a couple of times outside my room) and a continental breakfast. Very good value.
