“Excellent Hotel. Would stay again.”
The hotel is very convienient. Close to the centre, yet far enough away to not be disturbed. Takes about 2 mins to get to one of the main streets and 5/10 mins to be right in the centre. Our room although small was more than adequate. My booking said a Queen bed but we got two singles pushed together. I don't think a queen bed would have fit in the room. No complaints though as we had a lovely time and the hotel were really helpful. One of the tour companies let us down one day and the reception desk tried to sort an alternative out for us but it was too late. Would certainly stay here again.
“perfect location”
Hotel was arranged by son & daughter-in-law, so we just met them there. Excellent location, centrally located - we walked everywhere and never needed to take a taxi, etc., except from the airport and back. Adjacent restaurant/bar was convenient (we only ate breakfast there) but a bit pricey. But everything in Iceland was expensive in our opinion. Still, no complaints - wonderful experience. We'd stay here again.
“Will always stay at Hotel O∂ínsvé when visiting Reykjavíc”
I highly recommend this hotel for the location, the helpful and courteous staff, the comfort of the beds, and the excellent breakfast (although it is not included). I had the opportunity to compare it to Fosshotel Lind, which was just fine and a bit cheaper, but the neighborhood where O∂ínsvé is located is more pleasant and convenient for exploring Reykjavíc.
“Would love to go back!”
Good hotel, staff extremely helpful and in an excellent location.
“Great overall experience”
The hotel is a few blocks off the main street so its quiet and central, which is a good find because the area can be noisy on weekend nights. Nice staff, rooms, parking close by, etc. Food in the restaurant (except the free breakfast which is average) is suprisingly good. We actually ate there twice in a 1 week stay. It's not a US equivalent 4 star, but it is nice, clean, charming and we would stay there again.
“Great location and service.”
Hotel Odinsve is within walking distance to everything in Old Town Reykjavik and is on a quiet residential street. We were in one of the deluxe rooms (4th floor) and enjoyed our balcony view of the city/harbor every day. The staff were very knowledgeable about the local shops, food stores, apothecary, and dining options and were very accommodating when we arrived well before the 2 PM check in. The room was immaculate and the bedding very comfortable. When we return to Reykjavik, we will definitely return to Odinsve!
“The Perfect Hotel”
We absolutely loved everything about this hotel. We travel all the time and have stayed in many hotels around the world and this one definitely gets a big thumbs up from us. Brilliant location!!!!!!!!!!!!!
“Reykjavik's Best Kept Secret”
The Odinsve is an amazing hotel. Each staff member we encountered was kind and helpful. We were able to book some great tours through the hotel. Aside from the great staff, the best part is the Odinsve is very centrally located, just a few blocks from the best shopping, restaurants, and entertainment in Reykjavik. Yet the immediate neighborhood is very quiet at night--unlike the central entertainment district. The Odinsve is a bit more spartan than Americans expect from a four-star hotel, but the rooms are fully equipped, super comfortable, and have everything a traveler could need. We had a great stay and highly recommend this hotel to all.
“Prefect stay”
The service at Oðinsve was exceptional! The staff made us feel as though we were friends. The location is perfect for someone who wishes to explore both the city and drive on day trips. It is within easy walking distance of downtown shopping and the national museum, and only two blocks from where street side parking is free. Oðinsve contains the added bonus of a smørrebrød restaurant for breakfast and lunch in its lobby (not included in Expedia price at the time of our stay). The nicest hotel I had the pleasure of visiting in Iceland.
“Great place to stay for family”
We had a fantastic time. The apartment was spacious and centrally located. I would certainly recommend this for families with children. The kitchen was fully equipped and we were able to eat meals in which was a nice change.
