“Very nice”

This is an older motel in the heart of Ruidoso. It has been extensively remodeled and updated. The room was large, well decorated, exceptionaly clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The in room fireplace added a nice cozy touch. The owners seem to take much justified pride in their little hotel. In fact for the rate charged, this hotel definitely exceded expectations. We will be back!

“Great Hotel!”

this hotel was everything we wanted and more! the rooms were clean and contemporary, the television was working, and the front desk people were very nice. the only thing that we did not like was that the hot tub was not on and was outdoors (which is not ideal in ruidoso in the winter!) and facing the street. although the outside does not look inviting, the rooms are fabulous. i recommend this hotel. you can't beat it for the price!

“Surprisingly Impressed”

Okay, so I picked this hotel because all others were booked or would not take a reservation for less than a 3 day stay and also because of the reviews. I really thought that the reviews were far fetched, however I was surprisingly impressed. If you are looking for a high end "Expensive looking" Hilton or Hyatt type, well this is not for you but if you are happy with a very clean room and great staff than this is definitely for you and ME too =). The service, friendliness and hospitality we were offered was beyond what we expected especially for the price. I would so much recommend this hotel and we will be staying there again! Take note: We enjoyed watching all the hummingbirds too! They have Hummingbird feeders set up around the hotel that offer a very pleasant morning setting when sitting outside, reading the morning paper and enjoying one of the complimentary muffins they set out in the morning. Our favorite were their Cranberry muffins!

“Really lovely!”

This hotel was charming, had a "homey" feel to it and was just perfect for my husband and 12 month old. We had a delightful time. Close to down-town and within driving distance to everything. When we go back, we plan to stay here again.

This was a nice place to stay. The only issue we had was that we would have liked to have had more light in the room. We play games and the lighting was low. But it is a nice place to stay. We were worried about being close to the main street, but it was quiet and we did not here outside noise. Would recommend this place.

Owners were personable. Cost was very reasonable. Close to the shops.

“Great local business to support!”

The Sitzmark met all our expectations. We only stayed one night, but everything was as promised. The owners were very cordial and accommodating - felt like home away from home. The hotel is older and smaller than most, and has limitations, but it's been remodeled and maintained. It's a great value and location in Ruidoso. We will definitely stay again.

“Comfortable and quiet.”

Room size was adequate with full cable service and quiet from roadway noise. Bed was comfortable. Hot tub was a nice touch, but missed not having a swimming pool (small point). No continental breakfast offered.

“Nice place-will go back”

Friendly staff and clean rooms. I will stay there again in the future. For the price, I'd rather help the local owners than the chain hotels.
