"Excellent old manor. We stayed in Mrs Smith's room. Which used to be the owners room. Plenty of space, large bay window overlooking the garden and old church behind the property. Clean and welcoming. Bathroom was large and clean with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was excellent, the best scrambled eggs I've ever had in my life. A must try for any yankee visiting from the US. Eggs are much better in England than the US. Staff was quite welcoming and friendly. There are a couple of walking trails...

"The room was quite modern & comfortable especially considering the building is -800 years old. The location is fabulous. Chris checked us in & was very helpful, as were the other members of staff. We highly recommend the Chapter House to anyone who appreciates a hotel with a bit of character."

"I really loved the Red Lion, the whole place is truly well kept, the furniture and the decorations including the lovely framed prints are all amazing and the whole atmosphere is very welcoming and cosy.
