“better than it looked on the internet”
it was a nice place for not a lot of money. The free breakfast was decent. The room was decent. All in all, met or exceed my expectations for 100 bucks a night for 3 people. My brother was woken up by some Yahoo singing Whitney Houston at 5:45 in the morning, so noise may be a problem if you are a light sleeper...

I've been traveling to San Diego a few times over the year and I prefer this hotel because their good price, location and service.
“Del Mar of San Diego Vacation”
The Hampton Inn was a great place to stay! The staff were able to upgrade our room from two double beds to one king bed with no negotiating. The staff was friendly and helpful. One of the nights featured fresh baked chocolate chip cookies. We did not have time to try the swimming pool. It was of smaller size, but clean (who needs a pool when you have the beach?). The room was clean comfortable and had a desk, lounge chair, large bathroom and plug-in internet! The breakfasts are among the best free meals I've ever had in a hotel. Some possible improvements: Get room safes for travelers' valuables Get a second computer for internet cafe, which is usually being used.

Very clean hotel. Close to the freeway but almost no noise was noticeable.
“Best Stay in a long time”
Spent 6 nights while volunteering at SAMSUNG LPGA Championship at Torrey Pines--15 min away. Checkin was quick and efficient. Room well cleaned and beds very comfortable. Breakfast was best buffet-style presentation we've seen. Breakfast room had enough area for many people to sit, not an after thought off a front lobby. Housekeeping added nice touches to their room maintenance. Room wifi-great. Staff overall helpful and courteous. Local restaurant list and map obtained from front desk had many good recommendations. Only drawback--no GOLF Channel in cable TV! Would definitely stay here again.

“Wonderfully clean and comfortable!”
I was very pleased with my stay at the Hampton Inn. The staff were very friendly and the hotel was very clean. My bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in with plenty of fluffy pillows. It is very close to the beach, just off I5 and easy to get anywhere in the San Diego area. The price was great as well! I will definitely be staying at this hotel again!
“Way to go Hampton Inn”
We were very pleased with this hotel. It was very clean. The bed and pillows were awesome! We got the best night sleep ever! The free continental breakfast was very impressive and delicious!. You could even make your own deep dish waffles! I would definitely stay here again.
