I like how the hotel is right on the shopping street and that it is only 2 mins walk from the subway station. The staff on the front desk was super helpful and they handed over the keys to me really easy. Check out was also easy. There was no breakfast because of covid so that was understandable. What I am not happy about is the cleanliness of the room. They did not change the linens at all, I can tell because it is not crisp when I ran my hands over it and there was hair underneath the covers. Check your linens before sleeping on them ppl! The headboard and side table were also dusty when I came in so that was a bummer. So overall, cleanliness needs improvement, but the location, price and amenities were good.

The affordability and location make this an ideal place if all you need is a clean, safe place to sleep, wash, and put your stuff. Staff was friendly, and the amenities were nice (Wi-Fi, a water station, microwave, etc.). It's fine for one person; however, more than that may be a little much (at least for the room I was in). Also, though there was a small window, it didn't show anything, so if you like natural lighting you'll want to make sure you get a streetview room. I don't know if this was for all rooms or just the one I stayed in, but the shower room door never closed completely, meaning water running out was a risk when showering. The pipe at the bottom of the sink also wasn't fully sealed, so water would drain out at the bottom. It's fine for Korean bathrooms since there's a drain in the floor, but it may be a little concerning for others if their toothpaste spittle and washed-off handsoap comes back at you.

It’s NOT a HOTEL!
Location is good. But the facility is horrible. Rooms so small and it was like a hostel instead, don’t know why it’s called “Hotel”. It’s all like a partition room, walls are as thin as a cardboard, can hear everything outside. Totally not worth that price to stay. (Over USD120 per night in a hostel), DO NOT expect this is a hotel, not their hard ware, not their service, nothing is related to “HOTEL” except their room charges.

Housekeeping Problem
The hotel place is okey because near the shops in Myeongdong but the every time we ask to clean our room everyday, they are not changing the bed cover, pillow cover, quilt cover and also we think even the towel also. we stay for 5days there and even once they never changed it. I hope they fix it. Anyway is a good stay and the staff is good also. Just about the cleanliness.

This place is at the heart of Myeongdong. A block away from airport limo bus stop. A block away from Myeong-dong station. Convenient location.

The room is kinda small but expected. Bath is small. Expect toilet bowl to get wet when bathing.

The location was superb. Very near to myeongdong train station. And very near to express bus back to airport too, without any steps to climb, just pull your luggage for a 5 mins easy walk and wait for the bus to airport. Night street was alive daily, exactly at the door step of the hotel - cannot ask for anything nearer, excellent location!

I am pleased with the staff and services provided. The location of the property is right smack in Myeongdong and it is very convenient location to access the subway as well as food etc. Only problems i had was with the air conditioned, which sometimes turns off or temperature increases on its own. You cant control it on your own in the room. As well as my room was right opposite the reception, so noise in the morning wakes you up, I believe other rooms should be fine. Other than that, rather pleasing stay for the price.

Filthy bathroom/shower setup
The receptionist was really nice and helpful even at late hours of the night for initial check in. This place had a really disgusting setup for a shower (a setup which I'm familiar with) but even I would feel cleaner by not showering. It's grimey and you can see the filth in the shower floor caulkings and all over the sink and toilet. The whole place felt like it was not clean. The location here is superb though. Will not stay here again.

This hotel is located on convenient place. The room is clean and compact. Free amenity is only shampoo, conditioner and bodywash. Toothbrush costs 1000 KRW.

Location, Location, Location, this hotel is in a great location, step out into the famous Myeongdong shopping strip. Rooms are very small, but if you only want a place to sleep, then this is adequate. No daily room service unless you request it (which gives you a bit of privacy, in my opinion).

Excellent Accommocation
Excellent location. Within walking distance to Myeondong Exit 6 & 7. Lots of food variety & shopping within the hostel area. Hotel staffs were very friendly & were happy to assist with any questions. Especially Eko. Thank you! Room is quite large for a hostel. Breakfast service includes toast +butter/jam, hard boiled eggs, juice (tomato/orange) , milk. Coffee & tea can be dispensed at any time of day. Plan to stay at this wonderful hostel again during my next trip to Korea.

Terrible. Truly terrible
I felt that it should not be classified as “hotel” with its current dilapidated condition. Not only that, the service provided is of sub-standard. Front office staff is shabbily dressed. Housekeeping is of sub-standard as well. We came back after a day of shopping and we realized to our dismay that the only housekeeping they done is the tucking in of the bedsheet. Strands of hair is still clearly visible. We decided to give them a second chance when we came back from Jeju. This time, the experience is even worse,towel provided is yellowish and there are even worms on the toilet floor! The only thing that is commendable is how the owner make use of the hotel geographical location to boost the price of the hotel when its service is actually comparable to a motel

Great location for a solo shopping trip
Good for short stays (2-3 nights) if you're around just to shop. Place is clean and staff is friendly. Walls are thin so you can hear the other rooms. Overall, decent place for a 3 night stay (solo trip so it wasn't a big deal where the hotel was, as long as it was safe).

Stay review..
Hotel location was good and easy to get to subway and also airport bus. However i was beinf shocked twice by the sudden loud sound from the aircond and even got shocked when i was sleeping halfway. Other than that it was ok for a short stay but yea. I wonder is that aircond loud sound was necessary. It seems like it is sucking the water and draining awat the water.

Conveniently located
It was my 2nd time to stay at Ekonomy Hotel. Although room and hotel area is quite small, the area is very convenient. It is near the area of interests, train station (2-3min walk) & shuttle bus to aiport(5 min walk).

Location is good but room is way too small. Cannot even open our luggage (medium size). Bedspread is a little damp. Bathroom very tiny n when bathing water dipped out the door. Staff not helpful at all.
