First timer in Korea and also first solo travel. Couldn’t have picked a better accommodation than K-Guesthouse! It’s clean, near bus and train stations and right at the center of the famous Myeongdong street/ shopping district. So many stores and food stalls around. Roman, the manager is also very helpful and hospitable. Highly recommend staying here!

Perfect location and decent rooms
Perfect location. Seconds away from the action and neighbourhood felt safe. Rooms were small but the customer service from the Manager (Roman), made the stay worthwhile. He was friendly and went above and beyond to help with luggage requests.

Great location for shopping and dining that Myungdong has to offer. And convenient taxi, subway, and bus services. All around good, clean guest house with friendly staff. Managers Roman and Marishall was always available when l needed them. Awesome people!

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was great. The room is small however not an issue if you will be out most of the day and just need somewhere to sleep and shower. Basic amenities, communal kitchen area and water cooler which was handy for filling our water bottles. Now the location is fantastic! Literally a couple steps away from the heart of myeongdong which was super convenient for us as we would just go back to the room to drop off shopping before heading out again. Didn’t find it noisy at all. Would recommend if you aren’t a fussy traveller wanting a room with all the bells and whistles :)

Notwithstanding that the hotel was very close to Myeongdong Street and the train station, the facilities were relatively basic although the design looked minimalistic. The mattress was very hard and there was no proper ventilation in the room, save for the tiny ventilation in the washroom. There was also a smell in the room and there was absolutely no space for the luggage. The only good thing about the property was that the staff was very friendly.

Love location...right at edge of myeongdong....v convenient to shop..n near subway....but the room is v small n not tt clean...staying for 4 days but nver clean our room...need to pay if cleaning required???

Convenient location, near the train and bus and myangdong area where all the shops and food are. It's perfect for solo travelers. Didn't like the fact I have to carry big luggage down and up. noise can be heard next door easily but that wasn't too bad in my case. Instead of providing four small towels, they could have provide two big ones.

Thank god it was just one night stay
You will get what you paid for. The building itself smelled and they tried covering up with tons of room sprays. The room is pretty small with super thin walls. There were small nats coming up thru the drain, which smelled aweful. Shower I didnt even dare trying taking it. Close to everything but no elevators. I say spend extra 30 dollars and go somewhere decent. If you had to go to a guesthouse, U would say Sunshine guesthouse is in the better condition.

The room I got was a double-decker bed, but supposed to be a twin bed room (which I saw from the photos uploaded). The room was clean but I think the beddings need to be replaced. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

Guesthouse is near subway and shopping street. It’s very convenient. By the way, there is no elevator but staff is willing to help without asking. And there is towel prepared for you but it’s small towel. You should bring your big towel if you needed.

The check in/out was a breeze and the location is amazing since it is close to the train station and the Myeong-Dong street food area. It is also within the shopping district. The bed is not comfy though but it was really cheap so you get what you paid for.

Perfect Location to Myeongdong Shopping
I got into Seoul after 10p so decided to take a cab since the last bus would be gone by the time I got my bag/customs etc. I asked the information booth to translate the address in Korean for my cab driver. He was able to enter it into his GPS system. After hours check-in was simple. My key was on the counter and I just helped myself to the room. Location was in a prime spot, near all the shopping streets but also not in the middle of it all. Was also conveniently located near Namsan Tower. I took a cab up [$3USD] and walked back down. Starbucks and convenient store on each side of the hotel. The street it's on is also great for hailing a cab. Room itself was comfortable for 1 person. Only 2 things I'd recommend are mattress toppers and standard towels. Not only could I feel the springs, I could see them. Luckily I had a twin room so I used the extra comforter as a topper. And the only towels provided were 6 hand towels. Overall - my stay was nice. Owner Eunsuk is friendly and accommodating.

This guesthouse is located in heart of Seoul, close to Myeongdong Station and Shinsegae department store(duty free shop as well) only 3 minutes by walk. Complimentary breakfast is included with accommodation. Very convenient for tourists, affordable price as well! All of staffs were kind, helped carrying our luggages to up and down. Just one thing that I can advise to you is bring your amenities(hand soap and face soap).

Bravo stay in Seoul
K-guesthouse myeongdong1 is really located in a superb location, where duty free shop, street shopping and food, all are just steps away! Hotel manager is nice and helpful, i really enjoy my 6 nights stay there, keep it up and thumbs up🤗🤗

Worth to stay but have no lift
This is a nice and affordable hotel located nearby shopping spots. Just less than 1 mins. Everything were fined but just.... this hotel gave no lift..: so if you having large luggage/heavy luggage, will difficult/hard to carry up to your room. Otherwise, perfect!

Get a Triple Room if traveling 2 person.
Booked Std Double room but given Economy double room, the room like a cage i would say. Air conditioner full of mould and smell stink all time and making weird noise while operating. Getting old the hard like a rock bed and air conditioner shud service, take only room wit window as the air con doesnt work. Definitely not suitable for family or couples. Bfast was too simple with white bread n cereal, cant even fried an egg as frying pan and cooking tools not available. And the staircase like nightmare! No lift, u need to climb 4th floor everyday and carrying luggages all way up. The only thing is ok is the location, is at the shopping street nothing else is good. You need a place to rest properly but this place(room) is not cozy,noisy (terrible sound insulation), with a lil more price u pay just go for slight better homestay or hotel. I will never recommend friends to this particular K-guesthouse in Myeong-dong. Been in Korea for 10 days, changed 4 guesthouses, this the worst we ever experienced.

Affordable Price, Superb Location, Trust me !
If you saw this comment, you dont have to do any other survey because i have checked all hotel in myeong dong area..this hotel is so super clean, location is so superb(just right beside Isaac toast), and the price is so affordable.. Only one disadvantage for this hotel is you have to climb up to 3th Floor(i need to carry my gf luggage down to for 3 floor for 2 times) = = Overall is good, by the way breakfast is free (simple 1 la..)

Great location
There were no lifts which made bringing up one large luggage and a carryon difficult to do. Basic hotel, the room was small, but the location was great and made up for the lack of space in the room.

Goes beyond its price point
Clean room with everything you could want in hot humid Asia. Service was top tier and there was even a guide to room and life functions that you could read (made ordering that top tier korean chicken super easy). Daily breakfast was good too. Location was really good. Write next to a subway station and bus stop that will take you to all the major tourist locations while being close to a 24hr korean restaurant. Overall had an amazing stay here and can definitely recommend it

Right in the heartland of shopping district
Myeongdong shopping street is just right behind the guesthouse. The room was clean and more spacious than what we expected. The building doesn't have a lift but the staffs are more than willing to help you with your luggages!! The staffs are very friendly and patient in answering my equires too!

Convenient guesthouse in myeongdong
Perfect location at the edge of myeongdong shopping area, enjoying the convenience without the noise. Just 3-5 min walk from myeongdong station exit 5, next to the famous Issac toast. The manager Eunsuk is friendly and helpful! The room is small but clean and tidy, shower is hot and strong enough, wifi is stable. Only drawback would be the mattresses are toooo hard for me. Overall a good place to stay for its price!

Nice guesthouse easy to travel
It's easy to find K-Guesthouse Myeongdong 1 and easy to travel bcz it's very close the subway and Myeong Dong market that give me I like it.

Pros: price, location, room is TINY but efficient if you just need a place to sleep and shower; staff is helpful and speaks English Cons: bathroom looked clean but strongly smelled like mold and mildew in the bathroom so much that it overpowered into the bedroom area; possibly a plumbing issue? No hotel should ever smell like that.

The location is great and the manager is very nice. However there is no elevator so we need to carry all our luggages to the 3rd floor which is a bit disappointing. Moreover, the sheets are not clean enough.
