“Great Location”
The Savoy was a great location for shopping, dining, and easy train access. The staff was friendly and spoke english as well as japanese.
“Central location, clean”
One of the best quality/price ratio in the neighborhood. Rooms are small, bathroom ceiling low and you can hear music from the street but main reason for choosing this hotel is the central location in Myeong-dong. It's clean and the staff is helpful. It's a pity there is no Wi-Fi (really weird for a city as connected as Seoul) though. I got this address by a Korean friend who lives in France and go back to Seoul once a year and she always book this hotel as she finds it the best deal overall.
“So-so hotel but location can't be beat!”
The hotel was nothing to write home about. The room we got had seen better days and reeked of cigarette smoke even though we were told it was a non-smoking room. The staff was very friendly and helpful but what made the hotel great was its amazing location. In the heart of the Namdaemun district, some of the world's best on-trend bargain shopping is literally just steps from the hotel. And with shops open til 5am, you won't be seeing much of your room anyway.
“Not worth 3 stars”
To find the hotel was hard as the taxi cant drive you directly in front as for other hotels. The quality of the room is poor. For that price you can get a lot better!!!!!
