Great stay!
Great location, very good service and quality for the price. Breakfast is way better compared to other hostels in Singapore. Modern sanitary facilities and always very friendly and helpful staff in house.

The hostel was average--not especially inspiring or sparkling clean, but okay for two nights. The downsides: my room was quite humid/damp; and there were too many easy access points for anyone to get in without a security card (e.g. the ground floor bathroom area door was left open while people smoked, and the side door/late night entrance could easily facilitate a break-in, unfortunately). I was impressed by how quiet my room was, though; even though it was right near the kitchen, I couldn't hear any noise from that common area at night.

Best hostel I tried in Singapore
I have tries 4 hostels during my stay in Singapore . This is the best one of them in price . facilties .staff dealing and helping .shared area comfort and facilities and the good luck was the hostel mates there were the best I got real nice friends there .The hostel atmosphere making you happy and feeling home like u r in big villa .rich breakfast from 6am or before if you want .no school rules like some other hostels nearby .it's really amazing place .

Good location, great social area
Location: excellent, close to train station and bus. Near little India and city centre Room: clean, Stayed in a mixed dorm. I'm a friendly person so if you are too and also a girl I would recommend keeping your distance from men.

close to places we need to go
staff were very helpful with directions, attended to our concerns not even related to hostel needs, centrally located including the bus terminal for KL, simple breakfast really helps, strong water supply for shower with functioning water heater

Definitely a budget stay
I loved the staff here. They were really sweet, helpful and accommodating. The facility itself was less than ideal. -The bathroom had multiple cockroaches in it at any given time. -The common area was so hot it was hard to enjoy any down time in it -tables, counters and floors were pretty dirty -I'm not sure anyone even comes in to take a look at the rooms for cleanliness. I want to give it 5 stars because the staff was so nice. But I was really turned off by the cleanliness level of the facility that I went so far as to look for another place to stay. Unfortunately the cancelation policy wouldn't let me cancel without paying for my 3 day stay in full so I decided to tough it out.

Great and comfort stay
Hostel is clean and the staffs are very accomodating. Very near the mrt and the tourist spots. Booking is easy. The breakfast was simple yet filling. Id definitely recomment this hostel for my friends.

Nice Location, Good Hostel
I was there for single day, check in and check out was smooth, they also allowed to store luggage even after check out, bathrooms were shared which is something common in all hostels, but they had quite few bathroom and toilets separately, so no que. you can have tea/coffee whole day for free, usual hostel breakfast in the morning, reception people are blessing. The LOCATION is pretty cool near to shoppings and food stores, 10-15 mins walk from Two MRts.

The hostel had free breakfast (Toast and cereal) and free tea/coffee which was great. The biggest downside was the bunkbeds - they SQUEAKED whenever anyone slightly moved or shifted so it lead to limited sleeping if you didn't/couldn't wear earplugs.

It is not convenient and takes a long walk to go there from mrt station. They only have a small air conditioner in a room with 10 bed. It was like there are NO air conditioning all over the night. Poor wifi

Affordable stay in expensive Singapore
Singapore is expensive, so we needed to find a workable solution: youth hostel. I have never bought a dorm bed before and was pretty nervous about this. Luckily, we got a room to ourselves, so our experience was great! It's was a bit hard to return at the end of the day from beautiful venues to the humble bodes. Apart from that, the Hive worked very well. It has all that you need (even a personal Swiss army can opener from the staff member). Staff is excellent. The intern guided us to our destination after her shift on her way to MRT! I would go back.

Value for money with great location
The Hive Singapore Hostel is the best place to stay for backpackers. It's a few steps away from boon keng train station and infront of the bus stop. Breakfast is free (Cereal+milk) and coffee and tea are also available 24 hrs for free! I like the fact that they use an electronic card for u to get in your room or to the frontdesk/dining area for security reasons. Wifi is good and its free.
