This review is for the HOTEL, not the bar or restaurant.
Room was on the smaller side, but totally consistent with what I'd expect in SE Asia and at this price point. Price was good for the location -- right on the edge of China Town, within five minutes walk of two MRT stations serving three different MRT lines.
Bed was AMAZING -- great mattress and very comfortable pillows and duvet. A good hotel bed is like heaven!
Bathroom was a wet bathroom with a rainfall showerhead in the middle. Toilet did not have a bidet, but did have a nearby hygiene nozzle. Amenities for the bathroom were standard and adequate.
Room was catered with two bottles of water per day and also a water kettle with coffee and tea replenished daily.
Others have complained about hall noise, but I did not have an issue with that. Street noise wasn't problematic either, although the bar on the ground level blasts their music until about midnight. I was on third floor, so didn't really bother me -- might be an issue if you're on second.
The only real disappointment I faced was with the desk staff during check-in. He could not have been more disinterested and surly. I tried to be conversational, but he barely spoke three words to me. Oh well, I guess he was having a rough day.
I would consider staying again on future trips (although my personal MO is to always try something new).
