We were looking forward to our stay as it was it was a special occasion
As we hold top tier status with most major hotel chains,we get upgraded most times
Although the place was not too busy,they were very reluctant to upgrade a first time guest
For a Small Luxury Hotels of the World this property is rather disappointing
Our room was dated,with marks on walls and skirting board,bathroom with gaps between skirting board and bath,and screws holding a panel by the toilet.Very small sink,difficult to operate tap,banged my head in it while washing my face.
The pricey cocktails we had were not great,and the dinner was disappointing
When mentioned to the waiter that our main courses were extremely salty,nothing happened,the restaurant manager always rushing would not interact with guests
When asked for reception for a basic item that a lot of hotels would place on the room it took a long while for them to understand what it was,in the end they let me know that they don’t have one in the whole hotel.The pool was looking rather sad,my wife who loves being by a nice pool would not even contemplate visiting
We would not return,unless we would have too
