This is a truly beautiful old bank building downtown turned into a pretty good, but not great hotel. The lobby and bar area is really gorgeous, with marble and brass everywhere. Comfortable seating, best part of the whole experience. The staff are very attentive, pleasant, and always trying hard. However, the food menu is very limited, and they seem to have a shortage of kitchen and wait staff. The room was nice, with big tall ceilings, nicely decorated. But the bathroom was very small, somewhat dirty, and had cracking tile in and around floor and shower. The whole hotel seemed just a little “less” than most fancy restoration properties. It’s owned by Hilton, and I think it’s kind of being overlooked as an important part of their brand. Hilton should be cleaner and more up to date in its offerings than this. Overall, I would stay again, but I think there are much nicer choices right around the block if you want an old historic hotel in downtown St. Louis.

We had a beautiful corner room, with ample space and a seating area. Like many large hotels, it provided a small fridge and a coffee making setup. It’s too bad, however, that it provided only plastic drinking cups and paper coffee cups. We were within easy walking distance of the the Arch and a good BBQ restaurant, and parking was conveniently located next to the hotel. The Valet gave us a good tip on how to park without incurring heavy fees - much appreciated!

Hotel was in a very convenient walking distance area to stadium, convention center, & Arch! Area was saud yo not be very safe to walk around after dark. We were in our room at a pretty decent hour every evening or not too far in walking distance (less than a block). Would recommend an Uber for transportation over taxis.
