We stayed here for a one night layover and it was perfect. We walked to the night market. The hotel room was very spacious, modern and clean. I would stay here again.

Location was very convenient with the MRT nearby. Service staff was helpful and polite but have experienced better at other hotels. Lighting was too dim overall if you need to do any near work. Dim lighting also hides dirt (if any). The platform beds for double and twin rooms are not friendly to anyone with bad knees. Our tv system was just updated and we couldn’t seem to access any local channels. The staff we sought help from also couldn’t help so we left it as such since it was not a major issue to us. Only lift was small and slow. Overall satisfied but have experienced better in other Taiwan boutique hotels

The front desk staff are friendly and helpful. It did make the whole experience better but i have to comment about the cleanliness of the room housekeeping. 1. Not vacummed daily 2. Bedsheets are not changed at all throughout my 6 nights stay, which is a bit off, considering the length of stay. 3. No TV entertainment, and anything you want to watch, pay. 4. Breakfast is acceptable but may be a bit too repetitive. 5. Lighting, be it room or corridor, is a bit dark for family stay. 6. Free parking for my rental car is a plus. To be fair, the amount paid per night, is ok but that's what you need to expect.

Overall it's clean and the staffs are helpful and friendly. it's a very small hotel looks rather older than the pictures depicted. The room isn't really sound-proof so good luck if you have screaming children next door haha. The location is excellent! Many IG worthy restaurants and cafes nearby, even the famous Chia-Te souvenir shop! A safe and not too noisy neighborhood with many many convenient stores. You can get EVERYTHING from there. Also a self-service laundromat in walking distance (less than 10 mins) which is very clean! Will come here again definitely.

I live everything about this hotel. Though space is a little smaller than most, but all the other aspects are very well taken care of. Hygiene is taken care of up to every detail. I would definitely revisit if I head back to Taiwan.

Poor hotel
Very old & broken hotel. Broken sockets that could not use the USB cables. No table nor chair in the room, so basically need to seat on the floor or the bed. Hotel lobby is super small, and the only toilet on hotel lobby (Ground Floor), even out of service, very inconvenient and poor hotel quality.

Small boutique hotel with decent size room and bed (we had a king size bed). Would suggest to leave the bathroom door open after showering so it can dry properly (if not, it'll smell a little moldy) - due to humidity of Taiwan's weather. Carpet in the room and hallways are a little dirty? Hallway is a bit on the dark side (poor lighting).

Hotel is close to train station, about 5mins walk. Lots of eateries around it. Room is clean, big and comfortable. Beds are comfy but pillows are too soft. Bathroom is huge with separate bath and shower. I feel the bathtub is too narrow for a big guy but it works. Water pressure is good and nice amenities. Breakfast is simple and gets boring after 5days of eating same thing. My only issue is that there is only one lift. We stay at the highest floor and one night came back when they were clearing the towels for the day to be sent for washing. Had to wait for the lift until the collection was done floor by floor. Otherwise I would say it is a nice hotel to stay in.

Conveniently situated. Walking distance to MRT, bus, tennis, street food and Rao He night market. A beautiful temple right next to the night market. Staff were all very helpful and nice! Breakfast was yummy.

Staying in Hotel East was great, everybody was friendly, however, even though I did not ask for daily house keeping but the hotel crews should ask/ or provide proactively water bottles and toilet supplies every day!
