The hotel is four miles from the airport and less than nine miles from downtown Tampa. Sports fans are close to Tropicana Field (The Devil Rays), Times Forum (The Lightning) and Raymond James Stadium (The Buccaneers).

The Sailport's 215 suites on three floors all have views of Tampa Bay from private, furnished balconies. All guestrooms are non-smoking.
Each suite has a fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, blender, cookware, and utensils.
Each suite includes a 32-inch flat-screen TV with cable channels, a stereo with CD player, and two telephones. Wireless Internet access is complimentary.

“Exceptional”
Great suite - updated kitchen and appliances, very clean, and the view was absolutely beautiful.

I can't say enough about the friendliness of the staff and management. The service was that of a 5 star hotel. The rooms are clean, well apointed and quite comfortable .There was not only a large flat screen T.V. in the bedroom but also an even larger one in the living room. The kitchen has to be seen to be believed, there is nothing missing from it. The bay can be viewed from every suite. The "private beach" is a bit of a stretch since there is nowhere to enter the water exept from the rocks which are off limits but it did offer plenty of white sand, privacy, and room. My only complaint would be that all of the bedrooms are adjacent to a common hallway and they are far from soundproof. When people are in the hallway talking at night you can hear the entire conversation as if they were in your room with you. My wife and I had a wonderful experience overall at the hotel and wouldnot hesitate to return.
“We LOVE it , Keep going back”
his was our third stay with this resort. We actually go out of our way to stay there. I will admit the furnishing are a bit out dated but something about the place is so relaxing. Your room faces Tampa Bay they have, a fishing pier, sand beach, pool and dvd players and cd players in every room. We find that we save so much money on other things when we stay there because there is so much to do. You even have a full kitchen if you want to make you own food. We have stayed there before and will again. So, if you are trying to get away and relax this is the place. If you mostly care about fancy furnishings and high tech gadgets then maybe not. They do however have a computer with internet for you to use in Lobby

This hotel was wonderful. Great view of the water. Clean Room. Full Kitchen, fully furnished with dishes, glasses, dishwasher and sink. Wonderful staff, and excellent experience. Highly recommended, good price.
“Very good experiance”
I spent 3 peaceful nights at Sailport from Friday night to Monday morning. My room could not have been more quiet or in a better location then the one I had. An end unit on the second floor with great views of the Bay. The room was clean, bed was very comfortable, and contrary to other reviews the carpet was clean with no black on the feet. The main elevator was out of service. There are some signs of age in the hotel. For the price, location, and comfort of this hotle, I could not ask for more then I paid. I know where I will be staying next time I visit Tampa.
