"Excellence Suites was in a great location, close to all forms of public transportation, plenty of shopping and restaurant choices as well. The rooms and facilities were clean. The bedding was comfortable and we did not hear any noise from other rooms. The water pressure was not great depending on the time of day, but this would be the only complaint. Overall it was a great place to stay and we would stay there again. "

"Lovely old property - high ceilings, classical floor tiles and a lift from the old movies! The hot water wasn’t working on day one, but by the next day a brand new boiler had been fitted. Check-in was straightforward and very informative. We were shown to the property and given a walkaround. The full fruit bowl was an added bonus. Easily walkable to all of the tourist sights. "

"This hotel is in a great location. That is the main Reason to stay there, no frills. No elevator so the ground floor is suitable with no stairs if you have any disabilities. It is close to trains, buses. Restaurants and hop on hop off. It is adequate with private bathroom and kitchenette. "

"Excellent location a few blocks from the Spanish Steps, shops and restaurants. Good size room, full bathroom, whimsical birdcage elevator to get upstairs, and a private entrance (green door right in the middle of restaurant outdoor seating) to enter. All for a fair price. My only critique is that the walls are not terribly soundproof- there was a guest next door who woke up each morning hacking up a lung to the point of vomiting, and it was a daily alarm clock. But likely just bad timing being...

"We had a small apartment for four and liked our stay more than we thought we would. Very good location in a very old hotel tower with just the basics and sparse furnishings but very clean and organized. If you've seen old movies and seen sparse but efficient apartments for rent in Europe where you have to drag your luggage up some marble stairwell, well this is it, at least ours was like that. We only stayed 2 nights but they thoughtfully provided free snacks and bottled water everyday. Rosa...

"This property was a 5 minute walk to the heart of Trastevere cafes, and restaurants. The building is on a quiet dead end street with very little traffic. So you could sleep with the windows open if you wanted. They were kind enough to let us put our bags inside and get into our room earlier since we had a tour scheduled. The room was cleaned very well each day. My only issue initially was using the virtual key with WiFi on your phone to get in out of the building and rooms. Once they helped us...
