"We stayed for one night on our way back to Devon from Kent and we had a truly lovely time. Our room was large and sunny and had everything we could want. There was a lovely beer garden where we had a drink enjoying the afternoon sun and a really lovely dinner and super cooked to order breakfast. Staff were really friendly. A really great place to stay."

"Lovely, comfortable and clean room with a wonderful bed and blessings. We had a huge freestanding tub but used the shower stall which was a wonderful shower. Teapot and coffee cups was nice. The garden is a great spot to sit and relax and enjoy a beverage from their bar. No elevator but that’s expected in an older building. Great location for a nice stroll to the cathedral and many restaurants. Easy 10 min downhill walk from the train station so request a taxi the night before needed to return...

"Not a great experience- they did not have the restaurant booking I had made just a week previous (they did say they could make room for us, but all seemed a bit disorganised) and breakfast wasn’t up to much (we overheard that the chef hadn’t shown up, however the staff member didn’t tell us this and we had to wait over half an hour and ask twice for coffees that he was doing at the bar). Room was nice just feel no one had much of a clue what was going on."
