We came by bullet train Xi a north station, we got on the no.2 metro train and got off at Xingzheng Zhong xin station, this is a really big station, we got directed to the other side of the hotel, get of the metro and exit from C5 and the hotel is about 200 metres on the right side of the City On shopping mall. "Starting at 10 points. -1 for smoking room when asked for non smoking room. -1 for no spa. -1 for too easy to mix up the do not disturb with clean room sign (same colour, seems to override the other do not disturb wall sign). +1 for excellent location. "Room was fairly large though not in a very central location. A bit of a walk into main area near Drum Tower. Comfort of room was pretty good though not much of a view from my hotel room. If you are after something in a more central location then there are plenty of other options available closer to the central city area. Do re-check the hotel location yourself because the distance stated isnt neccessarily correct, whether intentional or unknowingly misinformed. Room amenities replaced daily,...

"it is bit old. it needs upgrade. however it is sooo cheap and convenient. "

"There are two Canaan hotels in Xi'an, this one and the Canaan International. I don't know about the other one but this one is located down a back alley and is in dire need of refurbishment. Our aircon wasn't working and I've got a feeling that this applied to all of the rooms. Our room was on the south (sunny) side of the hotel and so was too hot at any time of day or night. You can get better hotels for a few yuan more and should consider hostels if money is the overriding concern."
